Boddie Purrfect Small Animal and Equine Physiotherapy

Boddie Purrfect Small Animal and Equine Physiotherapy Physiotherapy for your animal by a Registered Veterinary Nurse and IAAT registered Veterinary Physio An introduction to me and what I do.

I have been in the veterinary industry since 1997, when I started training as a veterinary nurse. In Jan 2000 I qualified as a RVN. I am lucky to have had a full and diverse career where I have worked in general practice to Multi discipline referrals hospitals. I was also lucky enough to work in Australia for a year. Each position has further my knowledge and understanding of animals. Animal physi

otherapy was a way for me to use all my skills but specialise in an area. I qualified from The College of Animal Physiotherapy in march 2014, and set up for private clients November 2014. I am mobile and work from an established veterinary clinic. Please contact me with any queries.

Over the last 3 months I've been attending practical weekends, learning theory, completing case studies - thank you to my "guinea pigs" and trying to be open to a new way of working.
It's been a ride! confusion, learning, frustration, lightbulb moments and some fantastic results. Happy to say I can now add ESRT - Equine Somatic reset therapy to my tool box.
Thank u to the animals I treated, my fellow students and of course Andrea and Paul for the teaching.

This weekend was weekend 2 of my ESRT ( equine somatic reset therapy) course.
Something clicked over this weekend, a combination of asking the right questions, listening and then doing. This is a video of the lovely Alfie post treatment. ESRT is very different to ways I've treated before and I wont lie it was a struggle for me to understand the differences.
A massive thank you to Andrea and Paul and the rest of the group for helping me "get it" it's a great feeling.
After the 1st weekend I would say things like I see the animals respond but I did not fully understand.
Trust the process
Ask the question
Allow "failure" or learning which is a far better word
Here's to more practice, growth and adapting.

Only I could go on holiday and find a neutering clinic that was happening up the road!
My partner was very understanding and came and watched me at work. Only stayed to help for a couple of hours but did a dog castrate and bitch spay GA
The Gambian horse and donkey trust not just helping the hooved animals but offer spay and nuter clinics.

Today was my last day at the clinic here in the Galapagos. I've had the most incredible experience. A massive thank you to all the people I've met you have all been so welcoming and kind. You work hard in very different situations to home but I want you all to know what an amazing job they do. Any vet / vet nurse friends friend thinking on volunteering abroad I highly recommend it.
