I Gained 2kg in 3 Weeks—And That’s Okay

During my holiday, wedding, and honeymoon, I allowed myself to fully relax, knowing I’d get back into my routine afterward. For the first time, I didn’t feel guilty about skipping workouts or stress over food choices. I didn’t restrict myself, nor did I overindulge. I simply maintained a balanced approach, kept moving with daily steps, and enjoyed the experience.

Instead of worrying about losing progress or gaining weight, I focused on being present and making memories.

After returning, I dropped nearly 1kg in my first week. I skipped my weigh on the second week due to illness, and now, in week three, I plan to check again—most likely having lost more weight due to last week’s lack of appetite.

The key takeaway? A few weeks off won’t undo your progress. Enjoy life, trust your body, and get back to your routine when you’re ready!

The key to living a healthy life? Don’t stress too much 😊

Of course, eating well and staying active are important, but let’s be real, stress can do more harm than good!

As business owners, we’re always on the go-working late, getting up early, and pushing ourselves to the limit. I’m sure you’ve been there, and if you haven’t, you probably will. But here’s the thing: it’s not sustainable! 🙅🏻‍♀️

Sometimes, we really need to take a step back, breathe, and give our minds a break from the constant noise. For me, one of the best ways to reset is by travelling. 🌍✈️

A couple of weeks ago, I managed to dodge the UK storm by heading to Poland! 🇵🇱 The timing was purely a coincidence—I actually went to check out the Christmas market in Gdansk. It was an absolute feast for the senses: tons of food stalls and, of course, plenty of mulled wine! Although I don’t like wine so it’s a hot chocolate for me 😂

I didn’t worry about tracking calories. I knew I’d rack up those steps naturally, which always happens when I’m away exploring. 🚶

My point is: Be mindful, be aware of your choices—but also give yourself permission to relax. You deserve it. Don’t feel guilty about taking a break from work. Sometimes, it’s exactly what you need to be your best self. 🌟

A lot of my days are spent at my desk, creating plans for my online clients.

Many business owners know that missing meals can be easily done when you are fully immersed in your work.
That’s why I’ve made a conscious effort to have ‘ready to grab’ food in the fridge.

Lately, I’ve been having overnight oats. I prepare my oats before bed or even early morning to have them later in the day.

The secret to creamy oats?
Yoghurt 😊

2 ingredients into my breakfast jar, oats and yoghurt- that’s keeping it simple too! If I have some time, I will add some fresh fruit or some protein powder.

The whole process takes minutes. Calories for overnight oats are reasonable, the fibre helps with digestion and you keep fairly satiated.

Staying active is a non-negotiable, to me, it is anyway.

I’ve seen exercise prove time and time again to benefit everything from the mind, career and body.

There are days when my work schedule has left no room but to exercise late at night, it’s a slog but we get it done 💪🏼

I’m more of an early-morning person. I like to make sure my workout is done early where possible, so no matter what the rest of the day throws at you, you know you don’t have your workout to worry about later.

Finding that balance ⚖️

There was a time when I was working from 5 am-10 pm on some days, travelling 300 miles doing PT across the south of the UK.

Whilst I enjoyed it and I love what I do, I knew it wasn't sustainable.

It’s tough, right? We spend most of our lives working hard, but to not have the time to spend it how we want or we burn ourselves out 😰

I fully believe that we create our destiny, so if we are not happy with the current path, change the script 📜

It’s so important to find that work-life balance.
You deserve a break and your body needs time to rest.
Create a schedule which works best for you.

This is something I work together on with my clients. I make sure that they have balance in their life.

Time relaxing, catching up with friends, spending time with family or even a break from their desk.

My clients achieve better results in their careers and in their fitness when the balance is right ☺️

When it’s nearing the end of the day and I’ve still got my cardio to do 😩

I do it because letting myself down would feel far worse than not giving it a go, no matter how tired I felt.

I did feel much better about it afterwards. We always do, right? 😅

A cycle and arms class on the Peloton App put me through my paces.

My top was drenched with sweat.

If you think it’s too late in the day to make it happen, you are wrong.

Do it and give it your best effort.

🔥304 calories burned in 30 minutes. I’d say that’s pretty good 🔥

Although, I’d rather do my cardio in the morning before my mind has time to wake up and convince me otherwise😉
