3 layers on, might be getting a cold but we are trying this thoracic mobility exercise.

Why?

Tight shoulders and a stiff upper back make even simple movements feel restricted. This movement could help you. It could help you stand taller, breathe better, and move with far less discomfort.

It is strange really, I could speak in front of hundreds of people in a business setting without a single nerve showing. I could teach a group exercise class late notice with confidence.

But throw me into a regular group setting like a social event/ party and I’m unsettled for the rest of the day. I’d be that one sitting in the corner quietly.

Arrived in Dublin for a business trip, ended it with a visit to the Guinness Storehouse. Had to explore a little bit of Dublin whilst I was there 😅

For a person that doesn’t really drink, my first taste of a Guinness was alright 🍺

Who knew Guinness is only made of 4 ingredients?
Water, barley, hops & yeast.
Also, there are 300 million nitrogen bubbles in every pint!

For €22 Euros per person, I’d highly recommend the experience. Allow 2 hours to compete the visit if you don’t want to rush 😅

Oh, and if you’re flying Ryanair, make sure your small carry on fits the dimensions,as I saw a lot of people get caught out on the extra baggage costs 😱

Now is the time to take your back health seriously.

Face pulls are one of many exercises you should start adding to your daily routine because:
▫️ It helps improve scapular stability, in turn counteracting the rounded shoulders.
▫️It reduces shoulder and neck strain by strengthening the posterior shoulder muscles and helps balance the overactive chest and anterior shoulder muscles
▫️Plus, it enhances upper back endurance by having stronger postural muscles which makes it easier to maintain an upright, neutral spine throughout the day, rather leaning on your hand to hold your face and upper body up at the desk 🙈

Start reducing the daily discomfort from stiffness and start preventing long term issues like chronic pain.

I could have booked a Boxercise class in London which would be closer, by why stick with the same location when I’ve done it before?

Booking onto a refresher course in a city that’s new to me would be a good adventure. I know what you are thinking…Manchester out of all places? But it was a cool place to visit, lots to see and different to London. Maybe I’m use to what London feels like.

did his first fitness class-based assessment and he passed! He is now Boxercise trained! I got to refresh my memory from several years ago and decided to take the assessment again to see how much I’ve improved 😊

Saturday was a business day focusing on Boxercise, Sunday was a day full of memories made.

Grow together, explore together and make memories together!

Make use of your environment.
You don’t need an expensive gym membership or the newest kit to get results. Don’t get caught up chasing the newest gadget out there either.

Use what you have around you, otherwise you will always have an excuse for why you’re not getting to your goal.

Get creative and be consistent ✨

If you’re not sure where to start, drop me a message. I’ve spent years helping people get amazing results training from home, often with nothing more than a bit of determination (and maybe a kettlebell or a pair of dumbbells!) 😅

I will always be glad that I followed my intuition and went to A&E that day.

As a young adult being wheeled into a ward in a gurney like something I’d only seen on TV was traumatic.

Being hooked onto an EGC machine to be told my heart stopped for a split second, shook fear in me.

But each of my life experiences has built me to be the person I am today.

I put 110% into everything I do because I can never forget the feeling of not being able to move my body, I know what it’s like to not feel fresh air and to feel hopelessness.

I never want anyone to feel stuck where they are, which is why I will always help someone who is willing to learn and keep trying.

✨ This is the number 1 thing I’d have in my house for a home workout…

A kettlebell!

Why? Because it’s the ultimate all-rounder.
One small piece of kit and you’ve got yourself strength training, cardio, mobility, balance, and core work wrapped into one.
