“Who’s looking after your carers?”

It’s a question many families don’t think to ask. At Home Instead, we believe exceptional care starts with how we support the people delivering it.

We don’t just care for your loved ones — we care for our team too. That means creating an environment where care professionals feel valued, supported, and proud of the work they do. When they feel cared for, your loved one feels it too.

We’re so proud to celebrate Paula, one of our amazing care professionals, who was recently recognised for her outstanding contribution. Paula brings warmth, dedication, and kindness to every visit, and her positive impact is felt by clients and colleagues alike.

To show our appreciation, we surprised Paula with an afternoon tea voucher, kindly donated by our friends at The Courtyard Sunninghill. A small thank you for the big difference she makes every day.

Behind Paula is a dedicated team of care coordinators, trainers, and local registered practitioners, all working together to ensure the highest standards of care.

If you're looking for care you can trust, or you're interested in joining a team that truly looks after its own, get in touch with us today. Our Well-being Packages offer flexible, relationship-led support for families who want peace of mind and compassionate care.

“I’m doing my best to care for Mum, but some days feel overwhelming — how do I keep her comfortable and preserve her dignity at home?”

When you're caring for a loved one, especially with challenges like dementia or incontinence, some days feel heavier than others. It’s the quiet, often unseen effort that can take a real toll.

At Home Instead, we understand that true care goes beyond presence. It’s about comfort, safety, and dignity — not just for your loved one, but for you too. That’s why we work with trusted local partners who share our values and commitment to compassionate care.

We’re proud to partner with Floor Medics, specialists in discreet and sensitive floor care. Whether it’s a one-off deep clean or ongoing maintenance, they help keep homes fresh, safe, and worry-free — so families can focus on what really matters.

Their team recently completed our Dementia Training for Businesses, designed to help local services understand the unique needs of those living with dementia. It's just one more way we’re building a wider circle of understanding and support.

Behind the scenes, our care professionals are supported by registered practitioners, dementia specialists, and a local network of trained partners — all working to ensure your loved one feels safe and respected at home.

If you're feeling stretched, you're not alone. Let us help you navigate this journey with compassion, practical support, and trusted local expertise.

It can be rewarding to care for someone with dementia, but it can also be hard, heart-breaking and mentally exhausting.

Everyone will experience caring in their own way. There may be days when you feel you can cope well and other days when you feel that you can’t.

Many carers can forget about themselves and allow their own mental wellbeing to be impacted. But it’s so important to look after yourself too.

We asked our community for advice on how carers can look after themselves and they agreed on two things:

1. Don’t be afraid to ask for help and support from others. No-one is able to do everything themselves.

2.. Try to find some time for yourself, even if it’s just an afternoon a week, so you can prioritise your own wellbeing.

If you can stay healthy you will feel better, and it can help you to cope in your caring role.

My parents need more help than I can give… but how do we afford it?”

When care becomes necessary, it’s not just an emotional decision — it’s a financial one too.

Many daughters tell us they feel overwhelmed: Where do I even start? What are my options?

💬 That’s why we’ve teamed up with Daniel from Protection & Investment Ltd, a local expert who helps families plan care costs and understand their choices — without the pressure.

🎙️ In our latest podcast episode, Lauren sits down with Daniel to answer the questions so many families have but are afraid to ask. Daniel provides advice in areas where we provide care, including Ascot and Sunningdale.

💸 What funding options are available
🏡 Staying at home vs moving into care
🧘 How to stop worrying and start planning

At Home Instead Ascot, Camberley & Wokingham, we believe no one should feel stuck when it comes to care. Our Well-being Packages are designed to give your loved one the support they need — and you the peace of mind you deserve.

We've had a wonderfully creative and caring couple of weeks at the Lavender Lounge! 🌸

🎨 For Rushmoor in Bloom Week, we embraced our artistic sides with some still life painting. Beautiful bunches of flowers inspired some truly lovely artwork — and even those who said "I'm not very good at painting" surprised themselves with stunning masterpieces! 💐 Everyone took home a bouquet to brighten their day 🌼

💅 For Carers Week, we wanted to show a little extra love to our incredible unpaid carers. On 12th June, we treated our Lavender Lounge attendees to a relaxing hand massage or mini manicure – and it was a hit! 💖

Everyone left with a complimentary tube of hand cream and, we hope, a real sense of appreciation and care.

Thank you to everyone who joined us — you're what makes Lavender Lounge so special 💜
