Just got back from a wonderful coffee and cake morning at the Peak & Dales Medical Partnership, hosted by Derbyshire Carers Association It was their first carers’ event, and it was wonderful to see people coming together to share experiences and support each other.

One of the highlights for me was meeting a remarkable 94-year-young gentleman who looks after his wife. He’s a pro at using his smartphone for everything from online learning on YouTube to telephone banking and shopping. It just goes to show that age is no barrier to embracing technology and staying connected.

It was truly a heartwarming visit, and I’m excited to see more events like this that bring our neighbourhoods together. 💚

It’s that time of year again… Christmas is just around the corner, which means it’s time for our Christmas Raffle!

We’ll be holding our annual Christmas raffle this December in support of Ashgate Hospice.

Prescription ordering feedback:


The UK government’s 10 Year Health Plan places the NHS App at the centre of digital healthcare, aiming to make it the “front door” to the NHS by 2028. Patients will increasingly be directed to use the NHS App instead of other platforms like SystmOnline, with expanded features for advice, service navigation, and care planning.

However Peak and Dales are aware that some patients would rather order on SystemOnline. We have re added this link onto our website however we would advise to use the NHS app.

❗️Christmas and New Year Appointment Notice❗️

During Christmas week and New Year week, there will be no pre-bookable doctor appointments.

All appointments during this period will be same-day telephone appointments.

If after your call, the doctor feels you need to be seen in person, a face-to-face appointment will be arranged for you.

You can still complete the online triage form, available via the NHS App or on our website. These forms will be reviewed and triaged by the on-call doctor.

Please note we will be closed Christmas day, Boxing day and New years day.

📢 Resident Doctors Strike Action 📢

14th - 19th November 2025

Starting tomorrow, Friday 14th November until 7am on Wednesday 19th November, some of our resident doctors (formerly junior doctors, i.e. those in training posts in general practices and hospitals) are eligible for participation in formal strike action. This may mean there is reduced appointment availability whilst this strike action is in place.
