Our offices will be closed for the Easter bank holiday weekend.

Our phone lines remain open 24 hours a day, and our on-call team will always be here for you should you need us.

Have a peaceful Easter from us all at Jepson Funerals.

Softly now, the season turns,
with lighter days and skies that clear,
yet for some hearts, the quiet ache
can feel a little stronger here.

Where laughter once so freely lived,
and voices filled each passing day,
there lingers now a tender space
that time alone can’t take away.

And still, in all the changing light,
in every bloom and warming air,
love stays — in all the smallest things,
a quiet presence, always there.

So take this season as it comes,
in moments slow, in steps that feel right,
and know that even through the loss,
love walks beside you, soft and bright.

This Christmas, we are proud to sponsor one of the beautiful stars shining at Ashgate Hospice. ✨

Each year, these stars light up the hospice in honour of the patients, families, and staff who show such strength, compassion, and love during the most difficult of times. It is a privilege for us to support Ashgate and the extraordinary work they do for our community.

We hold the deepest admiration for the hospice and everyone connected to it. Their care brings comfort and dignity when it is needed most, and we are grateful to play a small part in supporting their vital work.

Our star shines in tribute to them all.

PLEASE NOTE over the next few months the District Council will be inspecting and testing memorials in managed cemeteries and closed churchyards where we have a responsibility for health and safety. It is a legal requirement that all memorials are stable.

The process typically involves a visual inspection for damage and a gentle hand-pressure test to check for instability.

Following the test, if a headstone is found to be unsafe it will be laid down. We appreciate this is a sensitive matter and we will always notify the registered deed holder.

“For the Fallen” – Laurence Binyon (1914)

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
