Today we’ve been making the most of the beautiful sunshine, enjoying plenty of fun outdoors, soaking up the warmth, and spending quality time socializing with friends. ☀️🕶️
It’s been a lovely day filled with laughter, connection, and those simple moments that make days like this so special. ❤️
Next time we’ll make sure to crack open a few cold ones🍻

Good Friday was filled with Easter cheer and plenty of sweet surprises! We kicked off the day with an exciting Easter egg hunt, where everyone discovered a delicious chocolate treat waiting just for them.🐣🍫

The celebrations continued as we welcomed the wonderful ladies from our local church, who led a heartfelt and uplifting Good Friday service and communion, bringing everyone together for a special moment of reflection. 🙏💒

To round off a truly special day, we got creative decorating gingerbread bunnies, almost too cute to eat… almost! 🐰It was the perfect ending, leaving us with full hearts and happy smiles. 🤍😁

If you hear a mysterious jingle; if you see a dazzling array of colour, do not be alarmed! It’s just our delightful, hand crafted wind chimes…

In honour of Global Recycling Day, our residents have made some wonderful wind chimes from recycled materials we found at home. ♻️🏡

Using washed, recycled bottles we made the chime support. Using odd bits of cotton which would otherwise be thrown away, we made our strings. Using sea shells we’ve collected over the years, we made our chimes. All we needed to add was a spot of colour by using some shiny beads. 🐚🧵

We had lots of fun making these today and our residents practiced and improved their dexterity when threading the beads (as well as a few risqué jokes🫢)

Hello all, my apologies but our weekly generational bonding session today has had to be cancelled as some of the little ones aren’t feeling good. We are sending them lots of love and hope to see everyone feeling better and brighter next Wednesday! 🤍

Today at Burton Closes we were joined by singer (and Santa Claus) Timothy Farnsworth and our residents enjoyed a heartfelt Mother’s Day performance where everyone had a sing along to some timeless classics 🎤🎶

Today at Burton Closes we hosted our weekly generational bonding session. It’s always so nice to see the children re-energise the home and the lives of our residents. Their presence never fails to bring smiles to everyone’s faces and our regular attendees have forged strong connections with our residents! 👶💙

We’d love to see more happy little faces in the home if anyone would like to join. We host every Wednesday between 10am and 12pm.

You may have not seen much from Burton Closes over the last month, so here’s a little recap of some of the things we got up to in February…

We had a wonderful performance from the talented Paper Kites Duo to celebrate Valentine’s Day, bringing some old but gold songs back to life.❤️🌹

Our residents put their teamwork to the test when working together on some sensory crafts and painting to create a beautiful picture together. 🎨

We celebrated Ash Wednesday with a church service where our residents sang some heartwarming hymns and celebrated their faith in the Lord.🙏

We hosted our very own in house nail salon to get the ladies (and gents if they wish) feeling red carpet ready.💅

Some of our residents worked on their dexterity with some sewing activities so they’re always piano ready.🧵🪡

And lastly we made sure to do lots of singing, dancing and toe tapping to prove it’s not just the youngsters who have got the moves.💃🕺
