Flo Morris Sports Therapy Fully qualified BSc Sports Therapist. I treat anything from sports massage, to a work related/overus Swedish Massage is a relaxation massage.

There are a number of different strokes used in this involving thumbs, fingers, knuckles, forearms and elbows. Some of the benefits include increased circulation- benefiting Blood Pressure, it boosts the immune system, relieves stress and tension and overall promotes relaxation and well being. Sports Massage is a combination of massage techniques, soft tissue releases and muscle energy techniques. It is beneficial for reduction of muscle fatigue, increases muscle flexibility, prevents injuries, shortens recovery time after an injury. Deep tissue massage uses slow and deeper in pressure massage strokes. It focuses on realigning the deepest layer of muscles, fascia, tendons and ligaments. To my pregnancy clients - I hope you are managing to cope in this heat! 🥵 I remember it well being pregnant in the summer of 22 in the 40 degree heat 😩if you haven’t been or heard of this gem this is the Ashwell springs it is lovely and super cool down there and the water is still freezing cold! This might be a bit of you to have a cool down and if you have other children take them too for a splash💦

This weekend I have attended a 3 day intensive stretch course with

I’ve completed 21 hours hands on training, to start with it was a lot to get my head around. But today on the last day I feel like it is has all started to fall into place 🥳

I’m so excited to have this addition to bring to your treatments.

Does anyone have any goals for October?

More specifically making time to foam roll or doing more foam rolling?
Stretching more generally or making sure you are pre and post workout?
Or strengthening if your focus is to get stronger and fitter? Or specific areas that have weakness that need strengthening?

Mine is starting this month with doing couch to 5k. I haven’t been back running since the birth of my third child so now I am going to slowly introduce myself back into it. Slow and steady. I love running but I’ve not had the child free time or energy to do so over these last few months but I’m hoping to be able to do this 🤞🏻
