A long time ago one of our patients asked us if we had found a gold earring as she had lost one during treatment. We hunted at the time but never found it but last week we did when we cleaned out the cleaners cupboard. We reckon it must have got vacuumed up!. If it was you please get in touch if you would like to have it back.

We are looking for a new part-time person to join our reception team.

You need to be warm, friendly and efficient with a confident telephone manner. Excellent IT skills, to include Word and Excel and some social media experience. Induction training will be given on our clinic reservation software.

Working times - Monday, Tuesday and Friday

What is sports massage? 🤔

Sports massage Therapy is an aspect of healthcare that is specifically concerned with the prevention of injury and the rehabilitation of the patient back to optimum levels of functional, occupational and sports specific fitness, regardless of age and ability.

Often with physical work most injuries occur when lifting and moving, and surprisingly the objects are not always heavy. This is often because we are more careful when lifting heavy objects, so when lifting any object always be aware of your posture.

Body position for lifting:

🟠Make sure you are stable
🟠Both your hips and shoulders facing the object, this will avoid any twisting through your spine
🟠Your feet shoulder-width apart, by placing one foot further forward than the other will give you more balance
🟠When lifting keep you back straight and bend from your knees

No matter how well your desk is set up, sitting for prolonged periods still increases the strain on certain muscle groups. Taking frequent breaks from sitting not only helps to reduce incidences of pain and improve posture but it also helps to increased energy, lifts your mood, and improves focus. If you wait for the pain to kick in before you change position, it’s too late!

When sitting for long periods we can start to develop aches and pains due to having a compromised posture or repetitive movement leading to muscle fatigue.

Checking your workstation for the following could help to reduce the strain placed upon your body:

🟠Your back is supported in the chair
🟠Your feet are flat on the floor
🟠Your knees are either at 90o to your hips or just below
🟠Your screen is arm’s length away from you
🟠Your forearms can rest on your desk
