If only it was still Summer! It's easier to be healthier in Summer.

I hear this a lot. Seasonal changes are real.
Gloomy nights are less appealing to get outside, I get it.

Seasonal changes can throw people wildly off.
They hark back to Summer, but have forgotten they also struggled then; they were busy, away, children home etc

How do we combat this?
Embrace what the new season can offer!

Confidence in the established healthy habits

UN-diet your diet

Social media doesn't allow for nuance (But I do!)

We all know what diets are supposed to do. But most people are left feeling dissatisfied.

We have 2 camps:
1) Those who defend diets at all cost saying saying nothing wrong with people wanting to lose weight
2) ANTI dieters that just seem so angry if anyone wants to change.

Life isn't as black & white. 'Dieting' problems stem from the approach, intention & attitude.

Ignore mainstream advice...

Do not be afraid to push against the mainstream.
Everything requires context I know.

The country is getting sicker and less mobile.
I am not an athlete but a normal person like you. But I don't want to be average. I want to up my standard.

Knowledge is power.
But where is your knowledge coming from?
And if it's media headlines and the staff room you might be left more confused than ever!

How to stop dieting

-Identify the food rules you live by - What is restrictive? Stop them for the next month.
- Stop the labelling of good v bad foods for the next month.
- Listen to your hunger cues and fullness cues.
- Learn how to NOURISH your body.
- Eat slowly
- Get pen & paper and document journey.

Try those ideas for the next week or up to a month then come back to me for more bespoke help.

-You are present at mealtimes more often than not
-Food brings pleasure
-Food is also your fuel
-Food hasn’t taken over your life
-You understand hunger cues, satiety, cravings, emotions
-You are at peace with your eating habits.
