It was a joy to have Carole Mackie , Reiki Master, come to Healing through Horses! 🐴

Carole’s story is remarkable!

Carole’s holistic journey began in Rio nearly 30 years ago when she became ill and ended up in a wheelchair. She was then diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis when she arrived home in England. She was 21 years old. It was in the hospital in Rio when she was given her first crystal... an amethyst. That day her love affair with crystals and there healing powers began! She became obsessed with the holistic approach, so much so she studied Reiki, Indian head massage, chakras and crystals. It wasn’t until she went on a Reiki course that she realised she had been giving herself self-reiki for the last 30 years. This took her on a self-healing journey that then led to the realisation that self-reiki has not just healed her but that it’s her superpower! Everyone has the power to heal… that is your superpower!

Author Carole Mackie is a certified, intuitive Crystal Reiki Master with over 30 years’ experience. She also featured on channel 4 documentary The Pulse living with MS. Her autobiography ‘Me and My Shadow’ learning to live with Multiple Sclerosis went worldwide and was translated into Italian and Taiwanese. It was serialised in the Daily Mail and book of the month in American Cosmopolitan. Her worldwide book tour took her to America, Australia and New Zealand.

A powerful insight into the healing nature of Reiki, not only for us humans but for the horses too! Like us, horses, suffer trauma from past experience, but also absorb high energy and what ever is going on for clients during sessions. It is important that we are mindful of this when our horses are working therapeutically with our clients. ⠀
