The term Forest Bathing originated in Japan in the 1980s, as a means of relaxation. It involves the practice of slow, mindful immersion in nature to improve health and reduce stress.

The health benefits include: lowering heart rate, better blood circulation to muscles and improvement of mental wellbeing.

Combined with regular massage treatments, walking outside and switching off from modern life can really benefit your health in the long term.

As a Complementary Therapist, I cannot recommend Forest Bathing enough.

After a brief break and some hibernation, I am delighted to announce that Thistle Therapies will be accepting bookings again.

The end of March is already fully booked, with April looking promising too. So what are you waiting for? It is never too late for self care.

Booking a treatment isn't simply a luxury: it is time for you to relax and unwind, ease those aches and pains and perhaps even vent a little.

I started a new full time job recently and so I will be taking a wee break from doing treatments until further notice.

I'll be opening the books again for treatments from March 2026.

Thank you for your continued support and confidence in my services. It means the world to me. It brings me great joy to help you find relaxation and unwind from what has been a stressful year.
