So, I'll just say a genuine and massive thank you to all the couples I had the privilege of marrying this year and that I can't wait to work with all my lovely 2026 ones!

We helped mum put up her Christmas tree yesterday and this decoration was given pride of place. It was given to her in memory of a dear friend who absolutely loved Christmas. Such a beautiful idea, keeping his memory alive. This time of year can be difficult for a lot of people. Just a reminder to be kind to yourself and each other 🤍

I thought I would share a little bit about myself for anyone new to the page! By the way, the best carrot cake for me is currently M&S but I am more than happy to take and try other suggestions!

One thing my mum has drilled into me from a young age is the importance of always saying thank you. It's been on my to do list for a while but I've finally got cards ordered and I thought it would be good to say my electronic thank yous here to give some amazing self employed individuals a shout out! So, in no particular order!
⭐The fabulous who conducted such a warm and personal ceremony - getting married by a friend was extra special. Also a shout out to her partner Tamas for helping us out during the day - we couldn't have done it without him.
⭐The flower master - I loved those flowers so much!
⭐Photographer Sharon from who blended in effortlessly (not easy when there are only 13 of us!) to get some gorgeous candid shots
⭐My hair stylist, games master, event manager and emotional support person (who also gives the best hugs as you can tell from the photo!)
⭐My mother in law Eileen for making the fantastic cake.
⭐Tanning Queen .mobiletanning who worked wonders with my ghost white skin (and was so lovely to chat to making me feel comfortable even when standing in paper pants!)
⭐ for my pre wedding beauty bits and bobs!! She gave me eyebrows!!
⭐Last but by no means least my husband (woohoo!) for not only providing the amazing food we all enjoyed but for all the work he put in before the day to make it so perfect for us and for making me laugh on that day and everyday.
What a team!

This weekend I am completing my training to conduct naming ceremonies - a warm, inclusive non religious celebration that formally welcomes a child into their family and community. It’s a moment to share promises, stories, hopes for the future, and to surround them with love and support. It also gives me an excuse to share my favourite video of my two! ♥️

I absolutely LOVED the flowers for our wedding! We kept it local with the fabulous Susanna from One small seed who grows all her own flowers at her home about 2 miles from where we live. Susanna is amazing! Before the wedding we had a chat and I sent her photos of the wedding party colours, a picture of a bouquet I liked from Pinterest and told her the theme was boho vintage. She took it all and ran with it, creating stunning arrangements that I was so happy with. Even better she gave me vases so that I could use the two bouquets as centre pieces on the table afterwards. Check her out, I would highly recommend

What's in a name? I've been thinking a lot about that recently. I've decided not to change my surname now I'm married. Something my younger self would never have imagined. Sadly my first marriage wasn't a happy one...long story short... I lost myself. One of the first things I did when we separated was to change my name by deed poll back to Crawford. It felt like my first step to becoming me again. Now I am lucky enough to have found a man I can completely be myself with, who loves me for who I am and who I can fully trust. Jason knows my story and how important my surname is to me which I'm really grateful for. Just a reminder to do what feels right for you 👍

Doing our wedding our way. Not going to lie, it was hard work setting everything up and we were shattered after it all but I honestly wouldn't have changed a thing. I got to spend time with some of the people who mean the most to me. All the preparation mum and I did beforehand, Pinterest ahoy! My brother Colin giving up his time and large truck to help us out and last but no means least my absolute bestie and all round wonderful human who truth be told, invited herself along but I am so glad she did! I'm honestly not sure I would have coped without her ( I made her earn her keep though! She was also my hairdresser, ceremony DJ, games master and general dogsbody!) We were pretty pleased with the results! What do you think?

I will do a proper post when I can keep my eyes open but have to mention my good friend, the amazing who conducted a beautiful ceremony and for the gorgeous flowers.

I am always genuinely grateful to get reviews and feedback about the service I provide. I can't begin to tell you what this one I got today means to me. It helps me to see that I am achieving what I set out to do as a celebrant - to be compassionate, kind and most imporantly authentic. Families can be complex, and as a celebrant I think it is really important to get the balance right between honouring the deceased and being true to the people around them. For some, that story can be more difficult than others. People will mean different things to different people and it is about acknowledging and accepting that in a respectful way to everyone. It's not always easy and I'm always working at improving my writing and approach to ceremonies but I think it is important to acknowledge when I get it right for the family.

Gorgeous Cricket the dog was all set to be the ring bearer but when it came to the time of her big moment there were no rings!! Luckily the rings were located and it all went pretty smoothly from then on for the fabulous Jay and Lizzy. Such a fun and relaxed ceremony with this gorgeous couple. Their wedding, their way. Thanks for letting me be part of it .sharpe
