Last weekend I spent the weekend learning from the wonderful Hagar Basis in Portmarnock. It was a beautiful weekend. I learnt lots of new techniques to help with stress and immune health.
I also took some time to my self; booking myself into the Grand Hotel in Malahide for the night, which was so lovely. I really took this time to reflect, I couldn’t remember the last night I had time like this to myself…. At first it was strange, going out for a meal on my own, having a walk on my own,not having to change a nappy…🤣. However I reminded myself that 12 years ago I took myself off travelling on my own to the other side of the world and I managed just fine.
It reminded me how good for the soul it is to just stop and breathe. To just sit at the beach and watch the waves. To have a coffee in sun. To eat slowly and enjoy your meal…
I came home with lots more energy and appreciation . ( It might also have something to do with all the reflexology practice that we did over the weekend 😆!)
As busy women / mothers it is so good to take some time out. Whether that is going for a walk on your own, going on that girls trip, going to the Pilates class that you keep putting on.. just do it, for yourself…
Remember you can’t pour from an empty cup….
