We’re just past mid-January, and anyone who has gone all-in on diet, training, and new behaviours will likely be starting to feel the pressure.

Going from crazy calories to low cals and clean food is hard — really hard.

What I’ve seen work better over the decades is treating January as a reset month. Gradually shifting from bad habits into good ones, not going all out from day one.

This approach allows your body and mind to adapt, making it far more sustainable long term.

There is a method to losing weight, and if done correctly you will succeed. But in my opinion, going from Christmas madness straight to the total opposite is unrealistic and extremely difficult.

If you’re already feeling the struggle, you haven’t failed, be kind to yourself. Reset, adjust, and set more realistic expectations rather than getting caught up in the January pressure. 💙

A photo shoot is a HUGE driver of results.

Having that end goal locked in gives you the push to keep going — because this journey is NOT easy.

You’ll want to quit.
You’ll have low days.
You’ll have great days.
You’ll feel everything in between.

After 30 years of training experience, I’ve seen massive shifts in what gyms truly are.

The days of just providing a place to train are long gone.

Gyms have evolved into social clubs where people come to be themselves — not mum, not the boss, not the one carrying everyone else’s weight. Just themselves.

No pressure. No problems.
Well… maybe a few burpees 😄
But mostly, it’s about belonging — being part of something, being like everyone else in the room.

And in a world where real human connection is needed more than ever, gyms need to offer more.

More outings.
More fun events.
More nights out together.

That’s what we believe truly makes us stand out.

Yes, we get results.
Yes, we have great equipment.
Yes, we offer guidance for everyone.

But most importantly, we create togetherness — inside the gym and beyond it.

For us, this is the future of gyms.

Starting a business is scary.
Self-doubt. Imposter syndrome. A weak mind questioning everything.

Before the grind, before the skills, before the failures, the lessons, the challenges — before building a team — you have to overcome yourself.

But then you see moments like this.
You hear members talk about their achievements.
What the gym means to them.
How they’ve found confidence, identity, and belief again.

You see people changing not just their bodies, but their health and mindset.

That’s when you realise — your vision is no longer just an idea.
It’s real.

And with that comes a shift.
To a new level of mindset.

The photoshoot is back!

This year, we’ll be starting our 12-week diet on February 9th.

The shoot will take place in our gyms, CFL Gym/ One More Rep Gym and we’ll be celebrating with a night out afterwards.

If a photoshoot isn’t your thing, you can still take part in the diet/training and get all the benefits.

After last year’s massive success, bringing it back was a MUST 💪

2026 — let’s gooooo 🚀

With nearly 30 years of experience in training, I see the same pattern every single January… and honestly, it doesn’t work. Trust me on this one.

People try to change everything at once.

Instead, keep it simple.

A smarter approach:
• Start training again
• Add 3,000 steps on top of your usual daily movement
• Drink more water
• Eat more protein
• Reduce junk food

That alone is a massive win for the first couple of weeks.

If you’re anything like me—and most of our members—you’ve probably been eating junk pretty consistently over the festive season. That’s normal. Be kind to yourself and set realistic expectations.

You don’t need to overhaul your entire life overnight.

We use the “1% method” for a reason.
Small steps, done consistently, are incredibly transformative.

Progress beats perfection. Every time. 💪
