Every Little Bear needs a guiding light.

Ours was Future Screens NI and Department for Communities.

From the very first proof of concept to the launch of a full emotional wellbeing hub, their support helped us turn play-based therapy into something every child can access and enjoy.

Thank you 🙏

How do you explain loss to a child? That’s where Little Bear’s stories help.

A New Day for Little Bear is a gentle, thoughtful story for children who have experienced loss, not just the loss of a loved one, but also other big changes, like moving house, family separation, or losing something important to them.

As play therapists, we know that when children are facing something difficult, hearing a story that’s too direct can often feel overwhelming.

So this story uses metaphor to help create what we call ‘psychological distance’ a safe space where children can gently connect with the theme of loss without feeling too exposed or distressed.

Does your child struggle with big feelings? Meet Little Bear's next adventure

We can all have big feelings - but sometimes we don’t know how to let them out.

Our brand new animation, The Big Roar of Little Bear, helps children express and understand their emotions.

In the story, Little Bear feels strong emotions that come and go. Sometimes he feels out of control, just like many children do. And that can feel scary.

These big emotions are often linked to sensory needs in the body - things like noise, touch, or movement. Eileen created this story to take away some of the shame children can feel when they get overwhelmed.

We’re so excited to share it soon!
