๐Ÿ‘€ We want to hear from you!

Whatโ€™s the trickiest part of mealtimes with your child? Is it trying new foods, sensory sensitivities, or just getting them to sit at the table?

No judgment here โ€” just curious to hear what families are finding tricky (and maybe share a tip or two!) ๐Ÿ’›

๐Ÿ’ฌ Comment below and letโ€™s start a conversation!

๐Ÿ• โ€œDinner is always just plain pizza or pasta.โ€
๐ŸŒฑ โ€œI want them to try something new, but it feels impossible.โ€

Valentineโ€™s Pizza = calm, family-friendly dinner ๐Ÿ‘‡
โœ” Familiar base = mini pizza or naan = safe & predictable ๐Ÿ•
โœ” Soft, meltable textures = sensory-friendly ๐Ÿ˜Œ
โœ” Toppings served separately = choice without pressure ๐ŸŒˆ
โœ” Fun shapes & colours = gentle exposure to new foods ๐Ÿ’–

Serve family-style โ€” bowls of base, sauce, cheese, and toppings. Kids pick what feels safe first ๐Ÿฅฆ๐Ÿง€

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿณ Let them spread, sprinkle, and decorate hearts โ€” little jobs = confidence & curiosity at mealtimes ๐ŸŒŸ

๐ŸŒ Trying new foods is one of my favourite parts of going on holiday โ€” especially inspired by my love of Asian TV ๐Ÿœ๐Ÿ“บ

I know first-hand what itโ€™s like to be a picky eater as a child, so I get how overwhelming new foods can feel. Thatโ€™s why I love experimenting with flavours and textures when I travel โ€” and itโ€™s proof that change is possible, even for fussy eaters ๐Ÿ’›

๐Ÿ‘‹ Hi, Iโ€™m Kirsty โ€” paediatric dietitian, feeding nerd & calm-mealtime cheerleader.

By day, I help parents navigate fussy & sensory eating and make mealtimes feel less stressful (and a lot less lonely).

By night, youโ€™ll usually find me:
โ˜• Fuelled by coffee
๐ŸŒŠ Walking along the beach (White Rocks forever)
๐Ÿ“บ Watching Asian TV dramas
๐Ÿœ Trying new foods โ€” proof that there is hope, because I was a fussy eater once too
โœˆ๏ธ Planning my next adventureโ€ฆ Asia is the goal, with South Korea & Japan top of the list

This page is for you if:
โœจ Mealtimes feel hard
โœจ Youโ€™re worried about what (or how little) your child eats
โœจ You want practical, pressure-free support โ€” not guilt

Youโ€™re so welcome here ๐Ÿ’›

โœจ One meal. Different needs. Less stress.

Chicken Satay made family-friendly ๐Ÿ‘‡
โœ” Rice as familiar base ๐Ÿš
โœ” Chicken plain ๐Ÿ— or in curry ๐Ÿ›
โœ” Sauce as dip + blitzed veg ๐ŸŒฑ
โœ” Broccoli on the side ๐Ÿฅฆ
โœ” Almonds for parents ๐Ÿฅœ

๐Ÿ‘‰ Try serving it family-style โ€” bowls of rice, chicken, broccoli, sauce in the middle. Kids choose what goes on their plate = less pressure, more calm.

๐Ÿ’Œ Save this idea for dinner & share!

โœจ What I was up to in 2016 โœจ

A year that felt like ten years rolled into one.

๐ŸŒŠ Making the most of my final season living on the North Coast โ€” beach days, leaving celebrations with friends, and my very first trip to Rathlin Island. Danny was leaving for Scotland & I was heading to England!
๐ŸŽ‚ Being surprised by my big sister with a family leaving do (and the BEST cake), with my beloved Gran there too โ€” a memory Iโ€™ll treasure forever ๐Ÿค
๐ŸŽ“ Starting my Assistant Professor in Dietetics role at the University of Nottingham
๐Ÿ“š Finishing my PhD viva write-up (on about 4 hoursโ€™ sleepโ€ฆ for a month ๐Ÿ˜…)
๐Ÿก Buying and moving into my first home โ€” exciting and wildly stressful
๐Ÿ’ Celebrating my wee sisterโ€™s engagement
โœˆ๏ธ Visiting Holly in Switzerland while she was on placement with Nestlรฉ (cold, sick, allergic to penicillinโ€ฆ not my finest travel era ๐Ÿฅถ)
๐ŸŽจ Fully embracing the two-colour hair trend (no regrets ๐Ÿ˜‚)
๐Ÿ‘ถ Welcoming my first, very handsome nephew
๐Ÿก And somehow ending the year settled into my first house in the beautiful village of Hathern

Exhausting. Emotional. Life-changing.
And proof that you can be completely overwhelmed and building something meaningful at the same time.

If you were around in 2016 โ€” what were you up to? ๐Ÿ’ฌ
