When Kinvara’s family reached out, every meal felt like a battle — shouting, food throwing, and refusal even for favourite foods. She relied on distraction to eat and preferred bottles of watered-down milk to almost everything else.

Through our 1:1 sessions, we introduced calm structure, no-pressure routines, and playful food exploration. Step-by-step, Kinvara started engaging with new foods, sitting longer at the table, and building confidence. 🌈

When I moved back to Northern Ireland, I stayed with my lovely friend Karen a Health Visitor from Calm & Connected while waiting to sell my house in England. 💕

At that time, I wasn’t quite sure what was next for me professionally, I had moved from academia back into the NHS with a community paediatric post— I just knew I wanted to keep helping families feel more confident and relaxed around food.

Karen turned to me one day and said, “You should start running weaning workshops with me.” This is us celebrating after one of our workshops before Christmas!
And that’s how Nutrition4Kids was born! 👶✨

Her encouragement gave me the little push I needed to take that first brave step — and looking back now, it changed everything.

Sometimes all it takes is someone believing in you before you fully believe in yourself. 💫
