What is the difference between Sports and Swedish Massage?

The techniques used in Swedish massage are very similar to those used during a sports massage, however, the main difference being that sports massage tends to focus on a particular muscle group and involves greater pressure to work deeper into the tissues, which in turn produces greater effects

SPORTS
- Firm pressure
- Includes trigger point tension release
- Main objective is to help release tension, improve flexibility, prevent injuries caused by sports or physical activity
- Includes a postural assessment and special tests
- Can include the use of instruments

SWEDISH
- Light, medium or firm pressure
- Perfect if you are looking for relaxation as well as to release some tension
- Can help relieve symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression or insomnia
