Today marks the first day of change as the Drs Fannin, Hutchinson and Boyd practice transitions to become part of Ballymoney Family Practice.
This will be a smooth process but of course, patience will be needed for the first few weeks during the change-over of management and the pairing of computer systems and phones.
All of our patients should have received a letter detailing the small changes to come.
Please note
**until 8/10/24 please continue to contact our practice as before.
**After 8/10 the phone numbers to be used change as per the letter.

Today is World Sepsis Day.
Sepsis is a life-threatening reaction your body has to any infection. If you or someone you look after has an infection and is very unwell, or not getting better, don't be afraid to ask 'could it be sepsis?'
Seek immediate medical help ( ring 999) if you think you or someone you look after has sepsis as early hospital treatment is vital.

The whooping cough vaccine in pregnancy protects your baby until it's old enough for its own vaccine.
Vaccine uptake in pregnancy has dropped from 75% in 2017 to 59% in 2024 ( HSE).
And babies are dying from this serious infection.
Speak to your midwife or healthcare professional and please get vaccinated!
Pregnant women are offered the vaccine between 20 and 32 weeks to give maximum protection to their babies.

*Important announcement**
The practice is very glad to inform our patients that from 8.30am on Monday 5th August our practice window at reception will be open and the phone lines will operate normally.
We would like to thank everyone for their patience during our recent staffing difficultiies which led to a reduced service. We are most hopeful that normal service will be maintained once resumed.
