A flare-up and a setback are not the same thing. Treating them the same is one of the biggest mistakes people make in rehab.
A flare-up is a temporary spike. It spikes, it settles, and it doesn’t mean you’ve done damage or gone backwards. A setback is a sustained worsening trend across days and weeks — that’s when you reassess.
During a flare-up your only job is to reduce the dose and keep your rehab alive. Not to panic. Not to stop. Adjust one variable and keep moving.
