The Children’s Step has been developed to assist children access the toilet with more independence. It provides a secure platform and gives greater confidence to children requiring easier access to the toilet.

The Children’s rails are a perfect fit for nurseries and schools, and allow the child to remain independent in these settings.

As with the adult rails, they assist the child to transfer on and off the toilet safely and independently. They are secure and close to the child increasing the ease of transfer.

The client was struggling to transfer on to the toilet using the current grab rails provided as they are attached to a partition wall and not 100% secure.

This week, we were with Elaine Eardley Occupational Therapist, to assess and solve the problem of her client using the toilet independently and safely.

The problem? Well the walls were too thin to take a dropdown rail and a large pipe box prevented a Freestanding frame or wheeled toilet chair being used.

The solution? We fitted a Throne 3-in-1 Rail and as you can see on the pictures, the Throne 3-in-1 Rail and all of our Throne Rails fit directly onto the toilet using the existing toilet seat bolts therefore there is no need to drill into the wall or floor. As the Throne rail doesn't have any legs then the pipe box was not any issue as once fitted it sat just above the box in question.

This is a great result for the client who can now use the toilet independently and safely and a great result for the family as they don't need to redesign their bathroom.
