Regaining my independence—worth every moment!

“I used to say, ‘the pain is worth the gain.’
There were moments during treatment where I had to tell my therapist,

‘Just hold on, give me a moment.’

It was bloody sore, I won’t lie! But I had to refocus on the end goal.

Before starting PRP therapy, I could not make a fist with either hand. I’d given up so much:
I couldn’t box, I had to use a stationary hot air dryer because I couldn’t hold a brush and hairdryer, and I even had to chop food using my middle fingers because my index fingers failed me.

It’s the ‘small’ things that severely impact your life.

I’m not ready to be told I’m ‘just too old’ yet!
I don’t necessarily look forward to the tough sessions, but I accept them for the long-term achievements.
