CHOOSING A TRAINER& GYM THAT ‘FITS’ WITH YOU
I'm a big believer that not all personal trainers are the same, and I'm stressing to you all reading this that this a very POSITIVE thing ❤️
All Fitness Trainers/ Consultants in the industry should have something UNIQUE and INDIVIDUAL to contribute to help nurture clients on their health and fitness journey.
We all specialise in different areas with qualities and personalities UNIQUE to us.
If you're thinking of joining a GYM, partaking in a SMALL GROUP or CLASS or doing 1 to 1 PERSONAL TRAINING sessions - make sure that you choose the right one for you.
You may want to visit a variety of venues , partake in a few different types of classes or groups and 'try out' a personal training session before making a choice & This is a great thing to do 😊
Your experience in the gym should be a positive one.
You should feel a connection with your trainer and feel safe and comfortable in your environment.
Don't feel guilty if you decide to switch up gyms , classes or trainers until you find the one that works for you on all levels and can provide you with the tools and guidance to achieve your individual goals.
You might even fancy a change - and that’s a good thing too.
We will not be offended as we want what is best for you 💪
The gym should NOT be a scary 😧 place - but it can be daunting if you haven’t been before.
Just remember we are all there for the same reason - to stay fit, active & healthy - no matter what your personal goals are. So the support network will be there straight away
Take your time and experience a few different avenues until you find the correct fit for you because at the end of the day you are going to be seeing your trainer on a daily or weekly basis and paying them with your hard earned cash 💰 & investing in yourself so ensure you choose what works for you
The most important thing is to remember that your trainer is not a magician 🎩 😂 🧙♀️
No amount of training sessions or classes are going to help you achieve your goals unless you put the effort in outside the gym to make positive changes to your nutrition & emotional and mental health well being.
We will steer you in the right direction & give you all the tools 🧰 you need but YOU will need to take responsibility to nurture all of your HEALTH with our help.
Don't blame your trainer for your downfalls but use their expertise, knowledge & experience to overcome the barriers that you may face 💪
For me personally as a trainer , I'm all about a BALANCED LIFESTYLE
I like to set realistic goals with my clients and stress to my clients that it's a lifestyle change , not a quick fix.
It's perfectly fine to drink wine 🍷 , eat chocolate cake 🎂, skip a gym session- It's not the end of the world.
I don't like to demonise food groups but what I will say is if you stick to whole , healthy food choices your body and your mind will thank you for it.
So eat well , move more, love life , stay positive and smile often. 💕
