I have worked as a care worker for 12 years in various settings including care-at home/NHS Hospitals/private nursing homes, After lots of thought, I have decided to set up on my own. The service that I will provide is based on a person centred approach

I will be here to help you and to listen and get to know what your likes and dislikes are and provide a service that is individually centred around you. This could be starting in the morning in assisting you to get out of bed, dressed and getting ready for you to enjoy your day. I can also provide personal care which includes washing, showering, bathing and getting dressed, assisting with your meal preparation and any prompts for medication, if you would like help around the home, or assistance in the evening to get ready for bed then this can be provided,

I will be there for you and your loved ones as a companion and someone to talk to, as I understand that it can be difficult to let someone into your life that you don’t know and having to share information that is personal and your private concerns.

I promise to respect you as an individual person and all information that you provide will be kept confidential. I can offer the elderly or people with specific needs a compassionate and high standing of understanding, respect, punctuality, listening and empathy.

I will work alongside you and your family members, detailed records will be kept with all correspondence and interactions. Family members will always be informed during all stages of your care, it’s not about me making all the rules dos and don’ts and checklists. It’s about you and what you would like and how you would like to be supported. I will listen, support and passionately provide what you require.

I will provide polices and procedures that governs my practice.

As a Personal Assistant I can:

Support and assist you in ways that work for you
Support you to maintain your independence
Help you stay in your own home for as long as possible
Help with cooking meals
Prompt medication
Assist with attending doctors appointments
Assist with personal care
