As it’s Beatrix Potter Day, residents enjoyed an ‘English Country Garden’ themed workshop with Colette’s Flowers, after watching the film ‘Miss Potter’ in the cinema. 🐰🪻🌼🌷

Due to a highly requested demand, we have began our Food Bank early, in reception.

As mentioned, we plan to donate all items on Friday 12th September to our local organizations, if you have any questions, please ask us at Reception - your donations can be dropped off at any time in our collection box.

Its officially Food Bank Week!

We are working together to aid and support the amazing organizations that support and help those within our local community,

In line with , coming up on 5th September 2025, we are working hard to support anyone we can and will be doing a collection at the home. This will be available as a "drop in" in the reception area as you walk in. Any donations of non-perishable items would be greatly appreciated.

These items will then be donated by residents and staff to 2x local food banks within the closer area.

Alternatively, if you would benefit from a similar service, please feel welcome to visit Highmarket for further support we can offer.

This year, Highmarket will again be hosting a coffee morning in line with Macmillan Coffee Morning 2025! 💚. This will take place on 26th September, from 9:30am onwards, with a range of different treats, cakes and breakfast options on sale to support raising funds for the charity. Last year we were also very lucky to have some very kind donations of baked goods to contribute towards this, from relatives and friends. In a 2 hour space, we raised over £160.00, a target we are hoping to exceed this year. Please join us, as we will be continuing Highmarket's' effort to support charities close to our hearts.

Our final reminder of Highmarket House Summer Fete which will kick off from 2pm on Saturday!

We have been working hard behind the scenes, to bring you a fun day of entertainment, stalls, games and of course, yummy food! This is a community event open to all relatives, families and any members of our wider community, all ages welcome, raising funds for our chosen charity - Mencap - who focus on improving the lives of those with disability. We also still have some names left on our Bear at reception, whose true identity will be revealed on the day!

In light of National Food Bank Day 2025, Highmarket House are teaming up with our local food banks within the area, to support a campaign of coming together to lend a hand to those in need with a week-long food donation drive. From Saturday 6th September, until Thursday 11th, we will be inviting the community, relatives, friends and team members to join us in donating non-perishable food items. All collected items are then going to be delivered, by our staff and by residents to our local food bank. This collection will be labelled and accessible within our reception area, just simply drop it in, when you drop in!

We are starting our summer celebrations early this week, ahead of our upcoming Fete, with a new found friend on our reception team.

Simply pop your donation in our tin, have a look at our name sheets, choose the name you feel is most fitting, and whoever guesses the name of our new friend correctly, gets to take them home!

The winner will be announced at our summer fete.
