My Journey to the Temple of Voice Sounds

I have always had a strong connection to my intuitive voice; and listened primarily to this, rather than looking to family, peers or cultural expectations, for guidance on how to navigate through the world. Sensing ‘life was elsewhere’, and fuelled by the voice of Bob Dylan, I left the education system at 16 years old (back in 1993, and as soon as I was legally able!), and left (fled) for Europe with just my voice and guitar to support myself via busking. Thus, my training with spirit began… and throughout my adventures, I carried a strong sense that the Universe was with me, and I was safe.
Fast forward to 2006 (back in England!) … I began to gravitate towards ‘Lightworker’ groups; where people would share a meditation, and with love and intention, create a big ball of light to send off to help others across the globe. It was there that I met Amarna Joy Sinclair. She was setting up a giant copper tetrahedron in the space if I recall. Although tall and elegant, an older woman and masterful teacher, there was a playful aspect to her that I recognised and adored… It was at her Flower of Life workshop, a few weeks later, that I first felt an angel to be tangibly real. Then, during one of her spontaneous trance channelling transmissions, I remembered my true Self and eternal Home, and set the intention to stay in alignment with my Higher Self. It was a mind blowing and very emotional experience; you could call it a massive spiritual awakening! Upon awakening the following morning, I found that my ‘healing hands’ had been activated! It was then that I began an intensive training with spirit, discovering how to channel energy through my body and interpret guidance. It was confusing and overwhelming at times, but exciting and fascinating too! I trained in Magnified Healing at this time, with Amarna, to give structure to my new abilities, and began to offer energy healings for family and friends. What was it like? It was the sensation of a magnetic energy coming through through, and- if I chose to cooperate- moved me around. It took a bit of practice to allow it to flow; it was as if the energy had to practice using me as an instrument. I was clunky at first, until we fused and I learnt to trust and surrender. It would move my hands into the positions they needed to be in relative to a person’s body, to direct the healing energy. This developed into very intricate movements of the fingers, eventually including my vocal cords- and the beginning of sounding. Initially, the toning was just long simple notes, from low to high…
To try and understand my position as a human here on planet Earth, going through an intense experience that very few people could relate to, I devoured books; resonating hugely to (often channelled) material speaking of my ‘Star heritage’. Particular favourites included The Hathor Material by Tom Kenyon, The Crystal Skull Speaks, by Kathleen Murray, anything by Barbara Hand Clow, and The Pleiadian workbook by Amora Quan Yin. This one featured many exercises which helped me to integrate and direct the new energies I was able to feel; and I kept a rigorous daily practice to uphold and build my connection to Source & Heart & Earth. Next, I got into crystal skulls! This became quite an obsession for a while. I bought a ‘baby life size’ quartz skull from Kathleen Murray herself, and gathered 13 skulls to feature in a play I wrote and staged at the Lighthouse Theatre in Poole, called ‘2012… In The Garden of the Conscious Presence (without Dave)’. I borrowed the title from chapter 21 of ‘Starseed. The Third Millennium. Living in the Posthistoric World’ by Ken Carey. This book strikes me as very dated now, but at the time I found it hugely activated my consciousness. During this period, I was on a serious truth seeking journey of massive Self-discovery, which I expressed through playwriting. I trained in Crystal Keys- using Lemurian Seed Crystals- with Gillian Ellis, a colleague of Kathleen’s, and using this modality, began to discover how distance healing can have tremendous effects.
The medicine wheel became a pivotal concept. I’d spend many hours with spirit, exploring its resonances and connection to sacred geometries. I related everything to it! Into this study, I integrated the 12 different coloured star systems outlined in Kathleen Murray’s book, and called it my ‘mandala map’. I drew them all the time, I made mini ones to use as coasters, I made clock versions, and a particularly versatile table sized one. This I began using as a device to communicate with different energies and beings, and also used it in distance healing and for making crystal/flower essences. I learned things from others who were brought into my path along the way, for example, the use of sacred geometry with crystal grids, from friend and fellow crystal skull keeper, Carla Harren. I was compelled to gather stones and build my own medicine wheel (similar to Native American but different) in the garden, anchored in by crystals. I activated it ceremonially on the Autumn Equinox of 2010 with my friend Mike Jay assisting to anchor in the geometries, and called it the ‘Sapphire Blue Dragon Medicine Wheel’. This began the exploration of ‘Portal Medicine’, amongst other things, although I regard the medicine wheel very much as a multi-functional entity. I have been anchored to it ever since, and consider it to be a deeply grounding and orientating presence in my life. When I lived in my van, I missed it terribly, and as soon as I moved into my current Bournemouth home, rebuilt it (albeit smaller) in the communal garden here, using the same special stones, gathered from sacred places I had visited over the years.
It was 2009 when I was asked by another crystal skull keeper, Wendy Willet from Glastonbury, if I would hold ceremony on the 9th September (9:9:9) at a 9 stone circle in Dorset, to support a global Earth healing project to activate the crystalline grids across the globe. She had been at it for years, travelling all round the world to specific locations, and the intention was to hold the ‘grid points’ on 10:10:10 and 11:11:11 and 12:12:12 in preparation for 21:12:12, the end of the Mayan calendar. Our efforts, she explained, would increase the amount of light that the Earth could receive on that momentous astrological date, to assist with the evolution of Earth and human consciousness, otherwise known as ASCENSION. Feeling the call keenly, I happily agreed, and this then led me into many different Earth Healing projects at various sacred sites, mostly in the UK; often organising events myself, in collaboration with others, or attending other people’s events. The apotheosis of this period expressed itself with the very elaborate and colourful 11:11:11 ceremony, which I devised and led at Stanton Drew Stone Circle, near Bristol. This involved 108 crystals/skulls on a central giant mandala map, and 9 concentric circles of 12 humans, moving in formation into 12 circles of 9 humans, each representing a different colour/star system. The smaller groups of like colour, were then toning and healing the grid points with the stones. We didn’t quite have enough humans for 9 concentric circles but the energy in the first three was striking. People from many different walks of life attended, some flying in from abroad. It was a joyful and powerful event, the energetic ripples of which propelled us into 2013, whereupon I launched a Galactic Self Exploration group. Missing only New Year’s Day, we met monthly on the mini Stargate dates of 2:2 (2nd Feb), 3:3 (3rd march), 4:4 (4th April) etc for the rest of the year. This was a huge learning curve for me, in how to hold space, and observing the bringing through of different energies collectively, and how they are expressed with diversity via different people’s various gifts!
The shamanic drum came into my life after my dear friend Mike Jay died, and left me his in his will. I didn’t use it for a full year, respecting it was his drum, until a Solstice ceremony at Avebury, organised by ‘Starlight’. I decided to bring it to play in remembrance of the times we had shared there, as I knew he would have liked to have come. On this day, the spirit of the drum came through and claimed me as it’s new instrument! It played me pretty much all day and then all evening at a Conscious Clubbing event in Bristol afterwards; thus we bonded and continue our partnership today. During my Bristol years, I also offered sound/energy healings, practicing for a while at Hamilton House in Stokes Croft, Bristol; using the large 11:11:11 mandala map, which I have very recently retrieved and reinstated! I was now guided to sit the person upright on a chair, rather than laying flat, so the flow of energy could come streaming down from Source through their central column and anchor into the Earth. Next, came the ‘Universal Light Language’. If you’re unfamiliar with this, it sounds like a mysterious foreign language but carries powerful energies that have healing/activating effects. If you listen to people speaking in a foreign language, you can still get the impression of what they are saying even if you don’t know the meanings- you translate the charge of feeling. It’s a bit like that. Except it carries ‘codes’ which relay messages that go right into your very being. More recently I have been singing the Light Language. It can sound so beautiful, and be extremely expressive; so full of joy & vitality, sometimes bringing laughter into the room, or deeply loving and reassuring. I call this form of sounding with Light Language, ‘Temple Singing’. My practice has now developed into a highly sophisticated vocabulary of interwoven movement and sound.
In 2019 I opened the Temple of Voice Sounds, offering multi-dimensional sound and energy experiences… I decided not to use the word ‘healing’, as this draws attention to that which needs to be healed; although this may be the case for some who enter the Temple. For others, it can be an ecstatic experience of simply being in the energy field for the sake of pleasure; an enhancement through receiving. We could liken it then, to somebody with a clean body choosing to have a hot soak in a rose petal bath, to bring about a deep sense of wellbeing; or choosing to listen to particular music to connect to the frequency of happy times. I regard the Temple as a space for healing, soul communion, receiving information and coming into alignment with one’s soul path. And with each session, I seem to be accessing new (ancient) remembrances of how to practice this remarkable Art. Always divinely guided. What I do could be likened to Priestess or Shaman, but I resist labels; one, because I do not follow a set tradition. And two, I believe I am aligning with a new wave of ‘just beginning to unfold’ technologies of the heart, that are yet to be named but indicative of the Aquarian Age… It feels like a massive renaissance of ancient temple times is taking place. I have visions of performing ‘group sound activation ceremonies’ in the near future… I see it is possible to release decades- lifetimes- worth of trauma and shadow in shockingly short spaces of time, and together in groups.
When the 21st of the 12th 2012 occurred, some said nothing happened. But looking back and comparing to now, I see evidence that it did! Our acceleration has been phenomenal (widespread Veganism being an obvious symptom). I see many of us who have been struggling to balance the desire to follow our dreams with survival needs, coming into our super power as conscious creators and manifestors of abundance (myself included)! I AM extremely excited when I think of 2020. I anticipate that there will be a mass awakening of individuals seeing beyond the confines of the physical reality (20 20 vision!), and recognising that it is our birth right to live our lives according to what we enjoy and what we suit doing. I see people stepping out of jobs/relationships/scenarios that cause misery and stress, and finding opportunities to explore, nurture and offer their own unique gifts to the world (just like the Veganism epidemic). And I firmly believe that sound vibration practices have a key role to play in this REVOLUTION… I’m 42 years young now, and perceive so much richness (heart progress) afoot and ahead (!). My focus has shifted from up in the Stars to down on the Earth, and to my womb and to the divine feminine. I’ve entered a process of relating intimately with the many faces of my inner divine feminine Self; with the aim of achieving a balance and sacred union with it’s counterpart- the previously over dominant masculine aspect (just like in the outer world)! … Our bodies are gorgeous and intelligent and self healing, and if we heed them and love ourselves, regardless of age they will serve us for many many many more years… I feel that my apprenticeship is coming to a close and the real work- with ceremony- is about to begin. There is a sense that the in breath has reached its peak! People are poised, gathering, preparing, anticipating… And we each have our part to play in the dance! Can you feel it? Are you tuning in? Are you ready?
