We handle even the most complex cases. Take this full mouth reconstruction, for example.
This patient came to see us wanting to have a new smile in time for his son’s wedding. He had lost his teeth over 10 years ago for various reasons, unable to get on with dentures, he had opted to just do without.
When he arrived he had two teeth and these needed to be extracted which left him completely without any teeth.
An essential part of the treatment planning was to have a CBCT Scan taken, which allowed us to accurately design where the best places were for the dental implants to be placed. This involves working with our experienced dental laboratory who are involved with the design of the end product.
After diagnosis and treatment planning this patient was given various options on how to create his new smile. He decided to go with having 12 dental implants placed and to have fixed bridges fitted.
As he was used to having no teeth he decided to not have temporary dentures or bridges so he lived with no teeth during the healing period.
We gave the day over to placing the dental implants to ensure that there are no interruptions and no time constraints for Dr Tom to carry out the implant surgery. The full mouth reconstruction procedure went very smoothly.
After 3 months recovery, and regular check-ups this patient saw himself for the first time with teeth. In August, they were returned from the dental laboratory for a try-in to make sure the design and fit was right. The definitive bridges were then fitted.
To say that it was a complete transformation is to put it mildly, this patient looks amazing.
People have commented that he looks 15 years younger and he feels everyone is smiling at him. This is because he is smiling at them all the time.
Our dental team are extremely proud of the result and are delighted that we were able to transform his smile.
