Residents at Banbury Heights have been making the most of the brighter days by getting out into the garden and enjoying the fresh air 🌤️

We’ve been sowing seeds, tidying up the garden, and getting everything ready for spring🌸Residents enjoyed getting their hands in the soil, chatting about gardening, and watching the space come back to life 🥰🌿
It’s been a lovely way to welcome the new season and enjoy some time outdoors together. We can’t wait to see everything grow! 💚

Music, Poetry & Smiles at Banbury Heights🎶📖

This week we were delighted to welcome Chris the Piano Man, who entertained us with some wonderful piano music. There was lots of toe-tapping, smiling, and residents enjoying familiar tunes together. 🎹✨

Today, we also welcomed volunteer Jon, who led a poetry reading session. Residents listened closely, joined in where they could, and enjoyed the calm, reflective atmosphere the poems created. 📖💬

It’s been a lovely balance of lively entertainment and peaceful moments, and wonderful to see residents engaging in different ways.

🌷💬 Sharing Ideas & Celebrating Activity Leads 💛

Shipston Lodge was delighted to host our quarterly Activity Lead Group Meeting from our 4 locations. It was a fantastic opportunity to come together, share ideas, experiences and inspiration, and continue supporting meaningful activities across our homes.

The meeting also coincided with National Activity Providers Week, so each attendee was gifted a beautiful bunch of tulips as a small thank you for the wonderful work they do. A lovely way to celebrate connection, collaboration and creativity. 🌷

🌸✨ Flower Arranging Fun Today! ✨🌸

Our residents enjoyed a lovely flower arranging session today, led by Ethel, who previously worked in a floristry shop, showed us all exactly how it’s done! 💐👏

Several residents got involved in arranging the flowers, while others enjoyed smelling the fresh blooms and admiring the beautiful colours.
The room was filled with smiles, conversation, and the wonderful scent of flowers.
It was a calm, relaxing afternoon and a joy to see everyone taking part in their own way. Well done, Ethel, a true flower arranging pro! 🌷💖

A Busy & Festive Week at Banbury Heights!🌲

Our residents have had a wonderful week celebrating the festive period, filled with music, laughter, and lovely moments together ❤️

Earlier in the week, we were delighted to welcome the Hook Norton Brass Band, whose festive tunes brought smiles and plenty of Christmas cheer.
We also enjoyed a fantastic live Christmas performance from Bill Tustin, with residents singing along and soaking up the festive atmosphere 🎶✨

Alongside the entertainment, some residents enjoyed a pub lunch outing, making the most of getting out into the community, while others took part in a relaxed cheese and wine tasting with their friends and family! A lovely opportunity to socialise and celebrate together 🧀🍷

It’s been a joy-filled week full of togetherness, festive spirit, and special memories. Thank you to everyone who helped make it so special for our residents🎅❤️

🎄 Christmas Art Class Fun! 🎨✨

Today our residents enjoyed a festive Christmas art class, and the creativity was flowing! From Santa's, robins and a red nose reindeer, everyone got stuck in and produced some truly beautiful artwork.

We finished by creating a lovely table display with all their pieces which has added a wonderful touch of Christmas cheer to our home ❤️🎅

🌟Its been a busy and exciting couple of days for our residents🌟
We were delighted to welcome Lucia's Tiny Farm, who brought along an amazing selection of animals including lizards, rabbits, a snake, and a tiny mouse! 🐍🐭🦎🐇
There were lots of smiles, curious hands, and wonderful moments.

We also enjoyed a cosy sherry afternoon, complete with 60’s music, mixed nuts, and biscuits. 🍪🥜🎶
The sing-alongs brought back lovely memories and created a warm atmosphere💜

This October, we’re going pink for a powerful cause. 💗
The Taylor & Taylor Care family is proud to support Breast Cancer Now by taking part in Wear It Pink on Friday 24th October 2025.
We’ll be dressing in pink, sharing themed activities, and raising vital funds to support life-changing research and care for those affected by breast cancer.

🐻✨ Teddy Bears, Chicks & Cheerful Moments! ✨🐥

Today, Banbury Heights was bursting with joy as we welcomed the little stars from Giggle Wiggle Nursery for a heartwarming Teddy Bear Picnic with our residents. 🧸🌼

Laughter echoed through the garden as generations came together—teddies in tow—for stories, snacks, and a cuddle or two with some adorable inhouse chicks! 🐣💛

These magical moments remind us that —and it’s even better when shared.

A huge thank you to Giggle Wiggle Nursery for bringing so much happiness and to our wonderful team for creating such special memories. 💙
