Suddenly but peacefully at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary on Tuesday 17th February 2026. Audrey nee Pirie, aged 87 years. Beloved wife of the late Sandy, much loved mum of Stephen, Carlynn and Susan, dear mother in law to Alison, Iain and Stevie, proud granny of Sarah, Emily, Abbie, Katie, Lewis and Charlie, loving sister to Sylvia and a cherished sister in law, aunt and friend to many. Audrey will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Funeral service to be held in A D Walker Rest Rooms on Friday 27th February at 10.30am, thereafter to Myrus Cemetery. All friends are respectfully invited, family flowers only please but donations, if desired in lieu, may be given in memory of Audrey.

A.D. Walker Funeral Directors have a vacancy for a Funeral Director.
We are a locally owned independent Funeral Director providing a high standard of service to those we are privileged to serve.
The role is full time Monday – Friday, with additional requirements for the out of hours call out rota and other overtime as required. The role is demanding both physically and mentally and you must be efficient, caring and approachable.
The workload includes:
• Attending the place of death and transport of the deceased to the Rest Rooms.
• Care of the deceased in our premises.
• Meeting with families to make arrangements, and ensuring all agreed wishes are carried out efficiently.
• Preparation of coffins.
• Coordinating funerals, including driving the hearse, carrying coffins, coordinating mourners and representatives of other organisations.
• Ensuring company premises and vehicles are presented in excellent condition.
• Play a part in ensuring all relevant statutory and corporate documentation is completed.
• Share in the out of hours / on call rota, as a 24 / 7 service is expected.
• Any reasonable duty required to assist the needs of clients and the business.
A successful candidate would have the following attributes:
• Experience of working in a similar field, however, full training and shadowing will be provided so having the other skills necessary is at least as important.
• Compassionate and a good communicator, with empathy for the bereaved and colleagues.
• Organised, IT literate and willing to learn new skills.
• Flexible approach to covering on call duties out of hours (a share of weekends and nights).
• Professional, trustworthy and dependable. Able to work well within a small team.
• The role does involve manual handling and an ability to work in stressful environments.
• Be based locally and have a full UK Driving Licence.

Bertie, Brenda and family would like to thank everyone for the many kind expressions of sympathy they have received following the loss of their beautiful daughter Fiona. Grateful thanks to everyone who attended the celebration of her life, to Jane at AD Walker for her compassion and hard work, and to Angela Lovie for the flowers. Thanks to your generosity, a donation of £1500 will be given to the Olivia Newton-John Wellness Centre at Austin Hospital, Melbourne, in memory of our precious and much-loved Fiona.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mum, Pat (Patricia) Brown, aged 74 years, on Sunday 8th February 2026.
Pat was a much loved Mum to Paul, Nicki, Robert & Emily, a very dear mother in law, a big sister to Ian, dearly loved Grandma (AKA Granny P ) Nanna and GG, loyal companion of Bailey and a dear friend to many. She showed incredible courage and strength throughout her life and fought bravely until the very end. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. We take comfort she is now reunited with her Abe .
Funeral service to be held in A D Walker Rest Rooms on Monday 16th February at 12.30pm to which all friends are respectfully invited. No flowers please but donations may be given for RNLI.

Beverly and family, would like to thank most sincerely all relatives, friends and neighbours for their kind and thoughtful expressions of sympathy extended to them by way of flowers, cards, gifts, messages, visits and calls, following their sad loss of Peter, a much-loved husband, dad, father-in-law, significant other and granda to his Breezy and the Bear.

Special thanks to Macduff Medical Practice, Banff Community Nurses, Eildon Care and Marie Curie for the support and care they gave to Peter at home.

A huge thank you to the Fife Lodge Hotel, Banff for fulfilling a special wish of Peter’s in holding his celebration of life service and the lovely teas.

Thanks to Audrey for the beautiful floral arrangements.

Thanks also to Jane and all at AD Walker Funeral Directors for their professionalism and kindness. Heartfelt thanks to Robin Wiseman for leading and telling Peter’s story at the celebration of his life service and his comforting words at the family service at the crematorium.

Finally, many thanks to all who attended his celebration of life service and very generously donated to the collection. Total raised was £2,113.01 and will be split between Macduff Medical Practice, Banff Community Nurses and Marie Curie

Peter is sorely missed and we will carry his heart inside ours forever.

Grace, Julie and Gavin would like thank all relatives, friends and neighbours for the expressions of sympathy in cards, phone calls, messages, flowers and visits following the death of Dan. They would like to thank the paramedics and ambulance team, the medical staff and nurses at Dr Gray’s Hospital, Elgin and Raigmore Hospital, Inverness for their excellent care. Thanks to Reverend Robin Gray for a comforting service and Reverend Donald Martin for his heartfelt tribute, and Donald Campbell, organist, for his sensitive choice of music. Thank you to Emma at Two Buds for the beautiful floral arrangement and to Ann Smith of Grunny Smith Hamebakes for the lovely teas. Sincere thanks to Jane and colleagues at A D Walker for their compassionate support and professionalism. The family are grateful to those who attended the service at the church and graveside. A special thanks to all the staff at the Dialysis Unit, Chalmers Hospital for their compassionate and outstanding care of Dan over the last five years. Donation to the unit in Dan’s memory was £400.
