I often hear the question, "Do I need a firm, intense massage?"
Not always.
The pressure isn't the most important determinant of effectiveness. Firmer doesn't necessarily mean better.
Sometimes muscles need more than just "hard kneading," but:
• gentle relaxation
• stretching
• restoring mobility
• reducing tension without pain
Professional massage isn't about pain relief. It's about proper technique, a personalized approach, and understanding what your body needs at a given moment.
When a muscle is overworked, too much pressure can only increase its defensive tension.
Sometimes the best results come not from force, but from precision, gentleness, and conscious regeneration.
Listen to your body.
