💜💚 September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month 💜💚

In Northern Ireland, 221 people died by su***de in 2023 – with men making up 77% of these losses. Behind every number is a family, a friend, a community. All range of emotions can occur and are valid.

This month, we’re joining others across NI to raise awareness, reduce stigma and remind you: you are not alone. We encourage you to talk, to have a conversation, to be listened to.

🚨 Nationwide Emergency Alert Test🚨

This Sunday 7th September 3pm.

The UK’s new emergency alert system will send a loud siren, message, and vibration to every compatible phone even on silent. Survivors of abuse with hidden phones could be put at risk if the device is discovered.

You can opt out in your phone’s settings to protect your safety.
✅ iPhone: Search “Emergency Alerts” in settings → Turn off Severe & Emergency alerts
✅ Android: Search “Emergency Alerts” in settings → Turn off Severe & Emergency alerts (and other threat categories if listed)

Are you always feeling like you are stressed no matter what you do? Feeling drained, stuck in survival mode, always overwhelmed and snapping at everyone for no reason? Or maybe for you it looks more feeling numb, disconnected and flat.

You don’t have to stay in this state. You can learn tools to regulate your nervous system. We are hosting a workshop to teach you lots of tools that you can practice to get you back to feeling yourself again.

Join us for an in-person workshop which will focus on how to recognise when your nervous system is dysregulated and what practical tools you can use to bring some balance and start to feel more calm, confident and resilient in everyday life.

We only have 6 spaces available so please contact us early for more details and pricing.

Hosted by Grace Uitterdijk and Jessica Melville.

The workshop will cover:

-What the nervous system is and how it works

-what kinds of things disrupt the balance of your nervous system

-signs and symptoms that you may have a dysregulated nervous system

-practical tools to use on a daily basis that help restore calm and balance again

The workshop is going to include some practical demonstrations and resources to take home with you and time for questions or reflections.

• Prioritise rest: Aim for regular sleep and short breaks during the day – even 10 minutes to breathe or stretch can reset your energy.
• Don’t do it all at once: Ease back into routines gradually and focus on what really matters instead of trying to juggle everything perfectly.
