Help with Repeat Medication Ordering

The old 'Patient Services' online system will no longer work with the transition to the new system.

We are working on contacting everyone who is registered for online ordering, to get them set up for the new Patient Access system.

We currently have over 5,500 patients registered for online services, we need to generate a new registration code unique to each patient and email that directly to the individual. This will take some time and a huge effort from our admin team, so please bear with us as we work through this process.

In the interim, the easiest way to reorder repeat medication is via our repeat prescription phone line:

New System Update

The practice moved to a new clinical system on the 27th of August 2025.

This will impact the services we can deliver:

We are running an emergency service until the 29th of August, so please expect delays as we adapt to the new system.

The repeat prescription line has re-opened to order medication, but there will be a delay in processing. Please order allowing additional time for delays.

We are actively contacting patients who had used our old online service via email with new registration information to set up a new account for Patient Access. Please check your email and spam inboxes over the next few weeks.

***❗️Reminder❗️***

The last day for ordering repeat medication to allow time for processing before our system software change will be tomorrow (Tue 19th) before 6pm.

Patient Services and the Repeat Prescription Line will cease at this time, and the Foyer Drop Box will close.

After this, you will need to contact community pharmacies for an emergency supply if you have run out of medication.

We will have no access to patient records from 22nd. There will be no blood results available until the new system goes live on the 27th August.

**IMPORTANT INFORMATION**
Due to a mandatory clinical software change, we will only be able to offer emergency appointments on the following dates:
22nd August 2025
26th August 2025
This is due to severely limited computer access.

From the 27th August, we will be working with a new system and our capacity will be reduced. Therefore, we will only be offering emergency appointments from the 27th to the 29th August.

We are unable to issue any repeat medications between the 22nd August and the 27th August. Please see your community pharmacy for any emergency supplies.

***Important Notification***
Due to a mandatory change in our clinical operating system, we will be unable to issue ANY repeat medication between the following dates:
Friday 22nd August 2025 to
Wednesday 27th August 2025

The last date for ordering to ensure we have time to process all orders will be Tuesday 19th August and this must be done before close at 6pm.

Patient Services will be replaced by a new online system that will be compatible with our new clinical operating system.
You will not be able to access Patient Services after 6pm on Monday 18th August.
The new service is called Patient Access and we will contact all registered online users with new registration details when this goes live.

This week, one of our most dedicated and respected team members is retiring.

Dr Charlie McNutt.

Dr McNutt joined the practice in 1997 and has spent the last 28 years providing high quality care to thousands of patients.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr McNutt for his tireless commitment to Bloomfield Surgery and we wish him a very happy and well deserved retirement.

You've made a significant impact on our team and on the lives of our patients, and we will miss you dearly.

GP practices will be closed on Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd April for the Easter Bank Holidays.

Plan ahead and make sure you have enough medication to last you over the break.
• Register for online services if your GP offers them.
• Order your repeat prescriptions in before the holidays.
• Remind friends and family to do the same.
