This week a number of care staff attended the dementia tour bus which allowed them to experience the world how someone with dementia may experience it - (terrifying at times and this training allowed us to fully understand common behaviours associated with dementia - many of which WE displayed ourselves while on the bus without realising)

This training in itself is one of the most eye opening experiences and extremely valuable.

Dementia is an awful disease that many people live with on a daily basis.....such a valuable experience for all, it was a huge success.

This was thoroughly enjoyed by all ๐Ÿ˜Š

They even got a tour and one resident was able to visit their old office and work colleagues
