Upper body strength, working to build and get stronger. 💪

Today’s session was all about pushing through the reps, focusing on quality lifts and building real strength through the shoulders, back and arms.

Strength doesn’t just happen overnight – it’s built session by session, rep by rep.

And of course, none of it works without proper nutrition and fuelling the body for the work it’s being asked to do. Good food equals good energy, better performance and better recovery.

Finished things off with some time in the infrared sauna at Release to aid recovery, relax the muscles and help the body repair after the work.

Recovery is just as important as the training itself.
Train hard. Recover well. Repeat. 💪🔥

Today’s session delivered a big one…

305kg sled push – unbroken 🔥

Then pushed it further with 310kg with a pause in the middle.

Strength isn’t built overnight. It’s built from turning up, pushing through the hard reps and trusting the process.

Progress like this reminds me why I love training.

Join Release Sports Massage – Bangor Aurora Leisure Centre.

Release Sports Massage is looking for a qualified Sports Massage Therapist to join the team on a self-employed basis.

This is a great opportunity for a therapist who wants to grow their client base while working within an established, professional and supportive environment.

Based inside the busy Bangor Aurora Leisure Centre, you’ll benefit from strong visibility and an existing client base. 👏

🧾The Role:

• Part-time role averaging 16–20 hours per week (may be more available)
• Mainly evening work, with Wednesday mornings and weekends if required
• Opportunity to cover additional hours during holiday periods
• Work with gym members, recreational athletes and clients seeking recovery and injury support.

🚨What’s Provided:

• No room rent to pay
• All treatment equipment supplied
• Opportunity to build your own client base while working under the Release Sports Massage brand.

📌 Therapists may incorporate additional modalities such as cupping or infrared light therapy, provided they hold the relevant training and insurance.

Requirements:
• Qualified Sports Massage Therapist (Level 3 minimum – Level 4 desirable)
• Self-employed status
• Valid insurance
• Proof of qualifications
• Professional, friendly approach with good client care.

Why Coming to Release for Sports Massage is a Great Idea 💡 😁

At Release Sports Massage & Personal Training, treatment is about more than just loosening tight muscles — it’s about understanding your body and helping you move, recover and perform better.👏

I am a Level 4 Sports Massage Therapist, which means my training includes injury assessment, rehabilitation and corrective exercise, not just massage. This allows me to look at the bigger picture, identify the cause of issues and help prevent them from coming back.

Being one of the first locally to introduce Infrared Light Therapy into treatments, I am trained in using this alongside massage. 🤩

Why? Infrared light helps increase circulation, reduce inflammation and support faster recovery, making it a powerful addition to hands-on treatment.

What makes Release different is that massage, rehabilitation and personal training all work together. As a Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach, I can help guide clients not only through treatment, but through strengthening and improving movement to prevent future problems.

I also keep my prices as accessible as possible, because I believe good treatment and recovery shouldn’t be a luxury. 💚

AI is a powerful tool.

Let’s face it — I use it, and many other personal trainers use it too to help structure posts like this… even if not everyone admits it.
But while AI might help with the words, what it can’t provide is experience.

I’m Caralyn, a qualified Sports Massage & Rehab Therapist, Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach and Menopause Coach — living, working and training through menopause myself.

I'd like to do a pull up.....I'd like to get stronger. That's what said to me when we had that first conversation about personal training. This is a journey. One not to be rushed, but one where progress is evident.
