After closing in 2020 following the retirement of its doctors, the former Glanfa GP Surgery building is now home to a growing hub of local businesses - from ear care and physiotherapy to hair, beauty and property services.

Former consulting rooms are once again welcoming people through the doors, with independent businesses bringing fresh life and regular footfall back to the building.

A great example of how an older building can find a new role supporting Bangor’s local economy.

Another reminder that blocked ears aren’t always wax 👀

This client came in expecting a wax removal, but the blockage was actually an earphone tip from a pair of disposable earphones from a recent coach trip.

Foreign objects in the ear can cause pain, infection and hearing issues if left untreated. Thankfully, it had only been a few weeks and he felt immediate relief once it was safely removed.

Just another day in the office ☺️👂

Even though ear wax can cause symptoms like these, it’s worth knowing that wax doesn’t always cause any symptoms at all.

That’s why it’s best to get any changes or concerns checked, just to be on the safe side and for peace of mind ☺️
