It’s that time of year again… time for my annual ‘sitting on my stool and looking awkward’ post to celebrate (almost) another year of my small business! 🥳4️⃣

For those who don’t know me, I’m Emily 👋 and I’m so proud to have been running this small business for nearly 4 years. During that time I’ve been clearing ears, easing discomfort, and making life a little less muffled for the of people of North Wales and beyond

I’m super passionate about providing care that’s personalised, expert and gentle

Hi! I’m Emily, the face behind the cartoon logo I use on my socials! (Thanks Mwydro!)

Some of you may already know me but I’ve gained some new followers so figured it would be a good time to show my face 👩🏻‍⚕️

This small business of mine is now 3 1/2 years old and since then I have helped thousands upon thousands of people with their wax build up. I continue to pride myself on delivering a professional and friendly service every time 🙂

What to expect before, during and after your appointment 👩🏻‍⚕️ (more details in text below)

Booking - I have an online booking system which shows all of my availability up to 6 weeks ahead. You can amend/cancel your appointment on there through a link sent to you.
I also take bookings over the phone/text/email/social media
A text reminder with a pre-treatment form link is texted to you 24 hours before your appointment. Don’t worry if you can’t complete this, we can do it together at your appointment.

Parking - there is plenty of parking outside/along Orme Road/Glynne Road.
Enter where you see my pavement sign, through the automatic doors and take a seat in the waiting area.

At your appointment - I will go through your pre-treatment form and address any concerns you may have. I will then examine inside of your ears, explain the procedure and answer any questions you may have.

The procedure - 90% of my clients need jusy microsuction alone. Microsuction is a very small suction (“hoover”) that I insert on the wax inside the ear to gently remove it. Most clients say it feels like a tickle and experience no pain whatsoever. It doesn’t take long, approximately 5-10 minutes per ear.

Finishing up - I examine your ear to ensure it’s completely clear and answer any questions you may have. On some occasions you may need a ‘follow up’ appointment. I go through after care and tips on how to look after your ears ✨ 👂

A question I get asked a lot. No, the procedure is not painful ◡̈

My clients have described microsuction as a “strange tickle inside the ear”. It’s certainly not an unpleasant procedure and I’m very light handed.

Sometimes if the wax is stuck/a too dry there can be a bit of a pulling sensation. If there is any discomfort I would discuss alternative options, more often than not it‘s just a case of using more olive oil and coming back at a later date ◡̈
