Coleraine, we’re growing 🌱

We’re looking for people who can bring steady support and human connection into everyday life.

Right now, there are two ways to join our team:

⭐ As a Support Worker, you’ll be alongside people in the moments that matter – encouraging independence, building confidence, and making daily life feel more secure.

⭐ As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll also guide our team, offering leadership, clarity and mentorship so that support is consistent, safe and person-led.

Both roles share the same heart: putting people first 💛

In Bangor, the work we do starts with relationships.

It’s about listening, encouraging, and being a steady presence when it matters most, so that people with learning disabilities, autism and acquired brain injuries can feel safe, respected and confident in their daily lives.

Right now, there are opportunities to join our Bangor services. If you share our values and want to be part of this work, we’d love you to take a look.

Today is World Mental Health Day 💚

For people with autism, a brain injury, or a learning disability, mental health is often shaped by the way support is given.

What we see, time and again, is that the small things make the biggest difference. Having someone familiar show up each day. Being able to decide what happens in your own routine. Feeling safe and understood.

That’s why person-led support matters. It creates steadiness, autonomy and gives people room to be themselves.

Today, on World Mental Health Day, we stand alongside the people we support, keeping mental wellbeing at the very heart of what we do.

Great support starts with strong leadership.

Join us in Bangor as a Deputy Service Manager and help shape a service that truly reflects the needs and goals of the people we support.

You’ll work closely with the Service Manager to guide your team, develop thoughtful support plans, and make sure what we do each day matches what matters to the people we support.

If you’re an experienced support professional ready to grow your leadership in a values-led organisation, this could be the next step.

Are you looking for a leadership role with heart?

We’re hiring Senior Support Workers to join us in delivering our mission at the Lakeland Supported Living Service in Enniskillen.

In this role, you’ll guide and support your team, making sure every person we work alongside feels understood, respected and at ease in their daily life.

We’re offering a mix of shifts to suit different routines:

☀️ Day and Evening Shifts - open to male and female applicants.

🌙 Waken Night Shifts – we are specifically seeking two female staff members for these roles, in line with the support needs of individuals in the service.

If you have experience, empathy, and the steady leadership this role calls for, we’d love to hear from you.

As a Support Worker with Positive Futures, you’ll be part of the moments that matter.

Sharing a laugh, building trust, and encouraging someone to take steps they didn’t think possible.

This service supports people who are deaf, so your role will be about understanding, patience, and meaningful communication.

We’re excited to announce opportunities to join our Support Worker team in Derry/Londonderry, with full-time and relief roles available.

If you’re kind, reliable and ready to bring patience and encouragement into someone’s daily life, apply now.

Possibility Not Disability

Established in 1995, Positive Futures works across Northern Ireland to achieve dreams and transform lives. We support and empower people and their families to have choice and control. We support people with a learning disability, acquired brain injury and autistic spectrum conditions to be fully included, accepted and valued in their local communities and to live the lives they want.

In 2017/18 we supported over 400 people (children and adults) and their families through a range of services and projects including our Supported Living Services (and peripatetic housing support services) – enabling the person we support to live in the home of their choice, Residential Short Break Service, Shared Lives Service – enabling an adult with a learning disability to be supported by a volunteer family for agreed periods of time, Family Support Services and Autism Outreach Service – delivering practical support to families with a child with a learning disability, Brighter Futures Project – support for families with a child (0-12) with a disability and the Better Together Project – matching ‘hard to reach’ people with a learning disability with volunteer mentors to help the person supported to achieve a goal and reconnect with the community.

We support people with a range of needs, from moderate learning disability to complex needs and challenging behaviours.

We have an extensive track record of successful project work, working with all five NI Health and Social Care Trusts (HSCTs) and a range of funders (e.g. large national funders such as The Big Lottery and Children In Need, Local District Councils and NI Ministries such as the Department for Communities and regional Northern Ireland funders such as Ulster Garden Villages) to deliver innovative, community based support and sustainable outcomes.
