Saesneg yn unig, postiad Cymraeg ar wahân.

Due to cases of meningitis ‘B’ in Kent, we have received several enquiries from students who are understandably concerned about the situation. Only children born on or after 1/7/2015 and those with very specific health conditions are eligible to be vaccinated against the 'B' strain of meningitis by the NHS. It is possible for people under the age of 25 who have not yet received the Men ACWY vaccine to receive it from the surgery. There is more information from Public Health Wales in the link.

“While meningococcal disease is rare, it can become very serious quickly. Recent surveillance data show that cases in Wales remain relatively low, with 18 notifications of meningococcal disease reported in 2023 and 19 reported in 2024.

Yn sgil achosion o lid yr ymenydd (math B) yng Nghaint, rydym wedi derbyn sawl ymholiad gan fyfyrwyr sy’n naturiol â phryder am y sefyllfa. Dim ond plant a anwyd ar neu ar ôl 1/7/2015 a rhai â chyflyrau iechyd penodol iawn sy’n gymwys i gael brechiad rhag straen ‘B’ o’r cyflwr gan y feddygfa. Mae’n bosib i bobol dan 25 oed sydd heb dderbyn brechlyn Men ACWY hyd yn hyn ei dderbyn gan y feddygfa. Mae mwy o wybodaeth gan Iechyd Cyhoeddus Cymru yn y ddolen.

"Rydym yn ymwybodol o'r adroddiadau o glefyd meningococol ymledol yn Swydd Gaint ac mae ein meddyliau gyda'r rhai sydd wedi cael eu heffeithio.

Rydym yn gwybod bod pobl ifanc, rhieni a theuluoedd yng Ngogledd Cymru yn bryderus yn dilyn yr achosion o lid yr ymennydd yng Nghaint.

Rydym yn annog rhieni a phobl ifanc i ymgyfarwyddo â symptomau llid yr ymennydd a sepsis, ac i sicrhau eu bod wedi cael pob brechiad plentyndod a argymhellir.

Darllenwch ein diweddariad a chewch fwy o fanylion am frechlynnau llid yr ymennydd yma: https://bipbc.gig.cymru/cyngor-iechyd/brechlynnau/diweddariad-ar-frechu-llid-yr-ymennydd

We know young people, parents and families in North Wales are concerned following the outbreak of meningitis in Kent.

We encourage parents and young people to familiarise themselves with symptoms of meningitis and sepsis, and to ensure they are up to date with recommended childhood vaccinations.

Bilingual post/Postiad dwyieithog

Bore da,
Bydd rhai trafferthion staffio’n parhau bore heddiw oherwydd effaith yr eira ar rai ardaloedd. Bydd hyn yn effeithio’n gallu i weld cleifion wyneb-yn-wyneb am y tro, felly diolch eto am eich amynedd. Mae’r maes parcio’n parhau ar gau oherwydd amodau rhewllyd.

Good morning,
A few staffing issues remain this morning as some staff members need to travel from areas still affected by snow. This will affect our face-to-face capacity for the time being, therefore thanks again for your patience. The car park remains closed due to icy conditions.

Bilingual post/Postiad dwyieithog

Diolch bawb, am eich amynedd a’ch cydweithrediad heddiw. Diwrnod digon heriol, ond wedi dod i ben â hi diolch i ambell ‘Samariad trugarog’ mewn cerbyd pedair olwyn a thechnoleg gweithio o adra. Mae’r rhagolygon dal reit wael at y bore, ond mi wnawn ni bob ymdrech i ddarparu’r gwasanaeth unwaith eto a chadw mewn cysylltiad.

Thanks everyone for your patience and cooperation today. Quite a challenging day, but we managed it thanks to some ‘good Samaritans’ in 4x4 vehicles and work from home technology. The forecast remains poor for tomorrow, but please be assured we’ll make every effort to provide all services once again. We’ll keep you posted.
