Being anxious because we realise we aren't feeling anxious is very normal. If anxiety is your default it can feel uncomfortable to sit in anything other than anxiety.

Breathe. Remind yourself you are in control. Go outside. Do 10 star jumps. Make a cup of tea and enjoy every sip. Journal. Refocus your thoughts in whatever way is comfortable and manageable for you. You are not your anxiety and your anxiety is not you.

The people pleaser in us can lead us to saying yes to people/ situations or things that we really didn't want to say yes to. Learning how to put boundaries in place to allow you to put your needs first is not just important, but powerful.
When we say no, we can feel bad for doing so. However, you can learn to say no in more gentle ways which will help build courage to stand up for you and your needs.

When we undervalue ourselves, or break our own personal boundaries, we create uncomfortable and upsetting situations for ourselves. It can feel difficult to stand up for ourself, in fear of creating rejection. When we recognise these red flags, we can learn to make a change.

Sharing this beautiful illustration of grief, again. Sometimes the fear of forgetting, or moving on, or “acceptance” can make grief a difficult process to move through; in reality, we grow around it. We get stronger at carrying it with us. We learn how live in a new way.

It’s not that the grief gets smaller as much as we slowly grow around grief.
