We enjoyed playing balloon games together, keeping the balloon up, staying active, and sharing plenty of laughs along the way. A simple activity that brought lots of smiles. ❤️🥰

From start to finish! 🍀🎨

Our residents have been busy creating salt dough shamrocks, and today we finished painting them ready for our display. It’s lovely to see the before and after of everyone’s hard work and creativity.

A beautiful addition to our St Patrick’s decorations! 💚✨

Employee Appreciation Day 💙

Our Activities Therapist, Jeanette, organised a lovely treat for our team to say thank you for their support with residents’ activities throughout the year. ☺️

She baked a selection of homemade goodies including scones, sausage rolls, pavlova, and lemon drizzle cake for everyone to enjoy.

A thoughtful gesture that was very much appreciated! ✨

✔️ Support the care team to ensure we fully meet Residents’ medical, physical and emotional needs.
✔️ Mentor and motivate colleagues.
✔️ Champion Residents’ safety and dignity whilst ensuring compliance with our clinical governance framework.
✔️ Oversee all aspects of the Home, ensuring each function is efficient and effective to the needs of the Residents including:
✔️ Operational management of the nursing home.
✔️ Clinical expertise and sound knowledge of best practice in dementia care.
✔️ Guiding, instructing and monitoring professional nursing staff, student nurses, health care assistants and other ancillary staff in the home.
✔️ Engaging with staff and promoting a positive workplace culture.

A mix of creativity and friendly competition has kept everyone busy. 🎯🍀

Our lovely ladies enjoyed some arts and crafts, colouring in St Patrick’s themed pictures for our display board. As well as getting involved in games of bowls and darts, with a little friendly competition along the way! 🤭

Plenty of smiles, creativity and good fun shared together. 💛

There were lots of laughs and plenty of excitement as the numbers were called… a big congratulations to Annie and Tilly on winning the full house! 👏

There were toes tapping from the very first tune as Silver Spurs came to entertain. 🤠✨

The ladies treated us to some fantastic line dancing and impressive footwork, and before long, everyone was singing along and joining in the fun. 🎶

Afterwards, we all relaxed with a cuppa and a good chat. It was wonderful afternoon shared together! 💛

An uplifting visit from Bangor Methodist Church 🎶💛

We were so pleased to welcome members of the church into our home, with Helen playing the accordion beautifully for everyone to enjoy. Before long, the room was filled with familiar songs and plenty of singing along. 🎤

A truly lovely time of music and togetherness. ✨

A very special visit from The Ark Open Farm. 🐑✨

We welcomed some lovely farmyard friends into our home, and what a morning it was! Our residents experienced feeding a baby lamb milk and gently petting rabbits, guinea pigs and fluffy little chicks. 🐣💛

It was a heartwarming visit that encouraged lovely interaction, conversation and plenty of smiles. 🤗

Flipping fantastic fun this Shrove Tuesday! 🥞

There were plenty of smiles as both residents and staff enjoyed fresh pancakes together, with good old sugar and lemon coming out on top as the favourite! 🍋✨
