Client Success Story - Meet Lisa💚

I have been seeing Lisa’s daughters to help with emotional regulation, which can be hard for children who are learning how to deal with bigger feelings potentially for the first time in their life.

We’re on week 2 of 4 and I was delighted to get this feedback.

Sessions blend talking therapy, guided relaxation, and play-informed approaches creating a safe space where children can explore their emotions and build practical coping tools.

Every child deserves to feel confident, supported, and seen. And every parent deserves to feel hopeful. 💛

✨ Day-to-Day Wellbeing ✨
🎬 Movie Night Club Edition 🍿

One of my favourite little traditions is Sunday Movie Night Club with . 💛 Every week, we pick something from our ever-growing list — usually a mix of 80s–00s favourites and films we’ve been meaning to watch forever. Our shared love of musicals always sneaks in too 🎶 (singalong heaven!).

It’s such a simple thing, but something I look forward to — a cosy Sunday reset that’s all about slowing down, switching off, and enjoying the little moments. ✨ Taking time like this to pause and recharge isn’t just a nice extra — it’s essential for our minds and wellbeing. It helps lower stress, boost mood, and makes it easier to show up for the week ahead feeling grounded and recharged. 🌿

🎥 Feel free to add film recommendations below… no horror though — I’m a total scaredy cat 🙀
💛 And tell me — what’s one thing you do in your week that helps you rest and reset?

🌿 Day-to-Day Wellbeing: Move Together edition

When you both love stretching and clown-inspired bottoms 🤡💛

A little Take 5 moment — Be Active, Connect, and Keep Learning.
Doing some gentle stretches and breath work to help calm our nervous systems before bed. My 6-year-old nephew joined me in my nighttime stretch routine while showing me some of his stretches from gymnastics— plus a few of his amazing moves. Lots of fun teaching each other, moving and laughing together (completely twinning in our outfits by accident, we just so happen to be very fun people).

A lovely reminder that wellbeing doesn’t have to be perfect — sometimes it’s simply about slowing down, sharing a moment, and feeling good together. 🌈

Don’t wait for the “right time.” Just start. 💚

🌟 Find Your Tribe 🌟

One of the best things you can do for your wellbeing is surround yourself with people who lift you up. 💛

Our little gang started over a shared hobby, but it’s become so much more. We’re all totally different — different ages, personalities, interests… and not one of them loves Steps like I do 😅 — but that’s the beauty of it.

When you find people who cheer you on, make you laugh, and show up when you need them, it reminds you that you’re enough, just as you are. ✨

Surround yourself with people who build you up — it’s one of the simplest and most joyful ways to care for your self-esteem. 💛

📩 Send this to someone who always lifts you up.

✨ How to Make Positive Affirmation Wands 🪄 ✨

Today I’ve been creating Positive Affirmation Wands with the wonderful children — a fun, creative activity with a big impact on how children see themselves. 💛

🪄 What you’ll need:
• Paper or card
• Pens or markers
• Stickers for decoration ✨
• A hole punch (optional)
• Ribbon (optional)

Each child writes or draws a positive message about themselves — something like “I am kind,” “I am brave,” or “I can do hard things.” They then decorate their wand, punch a hole, and tie a ribbon to finish.

It might look like a simple craft, but activities like this help children connect with their inner voice — the way they speak to themselves on the inside. That voice shapes their confidence, resilience, and self-belief as they grow. 💛 Encouraging them to practise kind, supportive self-talk early on builds a foundation they’ll carry with them for life.

💫 What positive affirmation would you write on your wand?

🌿 Day-to-Day Wellbeing: Real Conversations 🌿

Nothing boosts your mood quite like a catch-up with a real friend 💛 Whether it’s laughing until your cheeks hurt or talking honestly about life’s ups and downs, those moments light up the DOSE chemicals:

💛 Dopamine – motivation and feel-good vibes
💚 Oxytocin – trust and connection
💙 Serotonin – mood boost
❤️ Endorphins – natural stress relief

It also ticks off a key Take 5 action: Connect 🤝. There’s so much power and healing in coming together and talking things through — and I feel so grateful to have people I can truly be myself with.

Huge thanks to my gorgeous friend Danny for being part of this video — and for always being one of those people 💛✨

💛 Tag a friend who always lifts you up — and maybe plan your next catch-up 💛

We spend so much energy trying to manage the uncontrollable, like what people think of us.

What if this week we focused on two things you can control like YOUR attitude and YOUR actions?

🌿 Press Pause to Reset 🌿

From the moment I stepped into the beautiful Koselig Therapy Rooms, I felt myself begin to exhale. The soft lighting and calm atmosphere already felt deeply therapeutic before the treatments even began.

The truth is, even when your job is to support others, you’re not immune to burnout — and when you notice yourself heading that way, guilt often follows. But we’re all human, and part of the work is practising the same strategies we share with others.

I know this first-hand. My natural personality isn’t what people picture when they think of a therapist — I’m high-energy, always on the go, and my mind rarely stops. That’s exactly why I’m passionate about the tools I teach: because they work. But even with them, life can still feel too much.

💆‍♀️ So this week, I pressed pause with a hydro massage and dry flotation session. The massage melted away tension, and during flotation I literally felt myself letting go. My body softened, my breath slowed, and it felt deeply restorative — like my system was recalibrating.

When we reduce sensory input, the parasympathetic nervous system — our “rest and digest” mode — can take over. The body repairs, the mind slows, and everything resets.

I walked out feeling fully rested, and beautifully calm💛
