UHub Counselling, CBT, holistic and creative therapies for adults, teens and children, in North Down. Promoting emotional wellbeing, balance and contentment.

(Our opening hours are for our office. Counselling is from 9am-8:3pm Mon to Thur and 9am-3pm on Fri). We are a fresh thinking and innovative social enterprise in North Down. Our uHub will provide a space for talking therapies, life coaching, CBT and also holistic therapies and yoga which will provide a complement to our talking work. Our mission is to provide an exceptional service, with a multi-d

isciplinary approach to emotional health and well-being. Profits generated through our activities can be used to subsidise therapies in some cases, for people in need in our community. Feel free to contact us to see if we might be able to help. You can be sure that by taking time to help yourself, you are in turn helping someone in need in your local community. We have a reception area where our clients can make a cup of tea and relax before their sessions, and browse through our mini library full of inspiring books. We see uHub as having something for everyone, from small children right through to adults. All our counsellors are members of BACP and adhere to their ethical guidelines. We provide a safe and confidential environment where feelings can be explored. We work from an integrated approach, psychodynamic/person centred which we tailor to meet the needs of each individual so they can get the best possible service and experience from their counselling. We aim to offer a warm, supportive and non-judgemental way of working, which is focused around your needs. By talking and understanding your current situation, and often your past, it is hoped that your presenting issues can be greatly improved. Our clients are offered an initial assessment where counsellor and client will work in collaboration to agree an approach for the work. We can help with a wide range of issues for example, dealing with depression, abuse, trauma, bereavement, anxiety, relationship and work related issues, self-esteem, stress and phobic anxieties, OCD, intrusive thoughts, ASD and general counselling. At uHub we also have a wealth of experience working with children and young people including those with ASD, ADHD and behavioural problems. Our approach can be tailored to include creative therapies, CBT and systemic practice. Give us a ring to chat through how we work and how we might be able to help you.

You’re warmly invited to a Domestic Abuse Awareness & Information Event at Donaghadee Community Centre on Tuesday, March 3 from 7–8.30pm.

This is a community-focused evening designed to raise public awareness around the realities of domestic abuse and coercive control within local communities, and encourage early recognition and early intervention.

The event is open to everyone; community members and traders, professionals and volunteers and anyone who may encounter someone experiencing domestic abuse in their day-to-day role. Attendees will have an opportunity to access support services and practical knowledge, including how and when to offer safe support, and to gather practical information and clear signposting to support services.

The evening will offer a respectful space for solidarity and reflection following the murder of Sarah Montgomery and her baby Liam in June 2025, acknowledging the impact of domestic abuse on families and communities, while avoiding harm or sensationalism. And at the very heart of this evening will be survivor-informed messages and the powerful and thought-provoking awareness exhibition, Souls of Our Shoes, curated by the Mothers' Union around the impact of domestic abuse and coercive control.

Hosted by Donaghadee Community Development Association in partnership with North Down and Ards Women's Aid and community partners including the PSNI, there will be information and support resources available, alongside the opportunity to make one-to-one contact.

We hope you can join us for this vital community conversation and we look forward to meeting with you.

Date: Tuesday 3 March
Time: 7pm – 8:30pm
Venue: Donaghadee Community Centre, 12a Railway St, Donagahdee

Please see the poster attached and sign up by scanning the QR code, following the link below or contacting North Down and Ards Women's Aid.

Last year uHub and Bangor Foodhub & Community Support where approached by Alex Easton Independent Unionist with an idea that he would like to fundraise for both charities but climbing Kilimanjaro in August 2025 along with some other events including a Gala Ball!
Alex raised a huge amount of money which was split between both charities very gratefully!
We would like to thank Alex once again and we are posting this fabulous article which gives an insight into the actual climb and the fact due to travel beyond their control they nearly missed it!! Not an ideal start!! Terrifying image of Alex and his fellow climbers on “Barranco Wall” shows this was definitely not just a Dander round the Dee!! A fascinating read and thank you again Alex and all those who supported you on your climb!
