You may have seen this excellent interview with the National Pharmacy Association on BBC Breakfast this morning. This explains very clearly the funding issues facing community pharmacy in the UK. Since 2017, 1400 pharmacies in England have been forced to close. The sad reality is that the picture is even worse in Northern Ireland as we have fewer wholesalers to choose from and are therefore further disadvantaged when it comes to the cost of obtaining vital medicines for you, the patient.
We would encourage everyone to contact their MLAs and voice your concern before itโs too late.
