🌀I MET MY BODY🌀

Well, that was unexpected! Halfway through the mesmerising training with , and a poem poured through me. I have never written a poem before, or even had the inclination to do so. But these words emerged in such a way that I sensed they should be shared.

I have shared them in the only way I know how, through the imperfection of a “one and done” recording, and choosing authenticity over hesitation. If there is one thing Ta**ra and Yoga teach us, it is to follow the wise, sometimes quiet, voice within ✨

So here I AM, doing just that.

With great love,

Oh Bali 🫶 My 5th time stepping on the Island of the Gods, so called for a very good reason. This land has become one of my spiritual homes, the energies, the teachings, the devotion. A land where even cracks on the pavement serve as alters, a reminder that all is sacred.

Week one of the first module complete, we have moved from our fascia, dived into Ta**ra, yielded to Self, held each others hearts, connected with kidneys, cried puddles of tears on the temple floor, traced meridian lines through embryological development, chanted mantra, and have had mantra chant us. I am in awe of this work, the depth profound, and of course, as with any initiation of truth, life can never be the same.

Five weeks to go, hanging out in my back body, weaving webs of connection, inner and outer, micro and macro, through this permeable membrane of skin, REmembering: Everything is everything 🌀❤️‍🔥 xx

Grateful beyond words x

🌀UPDATE: FOREVER A STUDENT🌀
Sometimes the practice asks us to pause, to immerse, to go deeper….

A deepening of the practice has been calling, and I have listened. I’m heading to Bali for six weeks to study an advanced training in yoga, somatics, non-dual ta**ra, and embodied movement. It’s something that’s been calling for a long time, both personally and professionally.

Closing The Well for a short while isn’t a conventional choice, but The Well has never been built on convention. It was born from listening closely, from trusting what feels true, and from allowing space for growth to happen organically. If I hadn’t followed those nudges before, there would be no yurt in the forest, no community gathering there now 🌱🫶

This time away is about depth, integration, and renewal, mirroring some of the very core values of The Well. I can’t wait to weave what I learn back into the space, the offerings, the classes, and the community when I return.

A few practical notes:
🌀All class passes will be extended/topped up so nothing expires while I’m away
🌀The Well will reopen the week beginning 23rd February 2026
🌀The class schedule is already live
🌀A 6-week beginners course will also begin that week

Thank you for the trust, the support, and for being part of this unfolding. I’ll see you soon with a fuller cup, and much to share.

With great gratitude and love,

Catherine x

🌀SOLSTICE AND SPANDA🌀

The Winter Solstice is not a turning point we rush past.
It is a pause.

For a few days after the solstice, the light appears to stand still before it begins its slow return, the days not yet longer to the human eye, but there is movement alive beneath the surface.

In Kashmir Shaivism, this quiet stirring is known as Spanda, the subtle pulse of life that exists within stillness.
Not effort. Not force.
But the smallest initiation, the first whisper of movement after rest.

In classes this (and next!) week, we explore that pause, the moment at the end of the exhale, just as the inhale begins. We listen for what wants to move.
We follow tiny pulsations, barely perceptible, and notice the aliveness that is already there.

This is why we embody the cycles of nature, to remember that our bodies are not separate from them. That growth does not always look like striving. That light does not arrive by pushing darkness away, but by being born from it.

The practice serves as a remembering, that even in stillness, something is always quietly unfolding.

Happy Solstice loves, 🫶🌀

🌱WHAT A DIFFERENCE A YEAR MAKES🌱

Same season. Same trees.
A very different backdrop.

A year ago: bare ground, big vision, a lot of faith.

Now: a sanctuary in the forest, a growing community, plenty of special moments of connection, and of course the same autumn leaves as a reminder that nature keeps time better than we do.

Grateful. Rooted. Still growing.

Eternally grateful for where we are, and so excited for what is yet to come 🌀🫶

With great warmth, thanks and love to those who have crossed the threshold into the space this year.

🌀AN EVENING GATHERING🌀

The nights are drawing in. Nature slows. And we invite you to do the same.

Wintering Well is an evening to rest, soften, and draw inward. We begin with Hawthorn tea, our native heart medicine, inviting inward reflection and bridging the seen and unseen. We then move into gentle practices such as yin and restorative yoga, somatic techniques and breath, to support regulation and inward awareness.

The night closes in Yoga Nidra, a journey into dreamtime, where boundaries blur and transformation quietly unfolds (this audio will be recorded and sent to you via WhatsApp for you to revisit through winter).

If you are craving a pause, restoration, or connection; to yourself, the rhythms of the land, or the unseen, this is your invitation.

Winter is not something to push through. It is a time to rest, integrate, and settle into the fertile darkness, composting what has passed, maybe even planting seeds, for growth when the light returns.

🌀HAPPY SAMHAIN🌀
This weeks theme for practices at The Well was Samhain, the ancient Celtic festival that marks our descent into the dark half of the year, where one year ends and another begins. A time when the veil between the seen and unseen worlds thins, where we enter dreamtime, when nature turns inward, life retreats to the roots and growth pauses.

And so should we.

In our practices this week, we slowed down, drew our awareness inward, and embraced the descent into the fertile dark. We ended in the deep dreamtime of Yoga Nidra, where we rooted down and drew nourishment, becoming part of the very landscape itself.

This is the wisdom of Samhain, to rest, to listen, to trust the unseen. As we enter the dark half of the year, I hope you take time for rest, time to compost what is no longer needed, and maybe even plant some seeds of intention to bloom when the light returns.

🌀BEGINNERS COURSE🌀 Only two spaces remaining!

This six-week journey is for those taking their very first steps into yoga, and for those reconnecting with their practice.

At The Well, we begin where we are. No striving, no fixing, just gentle curiosity, breath by breath.
Each week, we explore yoga as both movement and meaning, blending vinyasa, hatha, yin, restorative, and somatic practices to nurture body, mind, and nervous system.

Every class closes in stillness, with a deeply restful Yoga Nidra meditation, a guided practice of conscious rest and yielding, to soothe the body, quiet the mind, and reconnect you with the calm beneath it all.

This course is not about touching your toes, it’s about remembering the wisdom your body already holds.

This is where we begin.
Come exactly as you are.

🔥FIRE🔥

Fire is the energy of transformation.
It moves through us as heat, as passion, as the spark that clears what no longer serves and makes space for what’s waiting to be born.

In this class, we embody fire through movement, somatic practices and breath, building inner heat, shaking loose the weight we carry, burning away old layers of stress and tension.

And as the flames settle, we soften into the stillness of Yoga Nidra, where the embers settle to a glow, and clarity glows from within.

Step into the flame. Return renewed.

🌀WATER🌀

This practice is an invitation to embody the qualities of water, to flow, to soften, to be held, and to reconnect with the stillness that is always there, beneath the surface.

Our Water class at The Well moves like a tide: beginning with gentle rhythmic vinyasa, slowing into yin inspired stillness, and resting deeply in Yoga Nidra. Along the way, breath and somatic practices guide you into greater connection with your body and nervous system.

Each practice is attuned to the rhythms of the nervous system, blending ancient yogic wisdom with modern understanding of how the body finds safety and balance.

🌍EARTH🌍

This practice is an invitation to embody Earth.

Earth holds us. It steadies, nourishes, and grounds.

This class is an opportunity to root down and turn inward.

It’s a slower, more contemplative practice that invites depth through stillness.

But slow does not mean simple.

Sometimes, meeting ourselves in quiet can be the most courageous thing we do.

This is a practice of soft strength and of deep listening.

You can expect a grounded blend of yin and restorative yoga, held with care and intention.

In yin we hold deep, sustained stretches that can invite sensation, restorative yoga offers total support.

Breathwork and somatic practices may be woven throughout to gently guide you into deeper presence.

This class offers the body a chance to soften and the nervous system a chance to settle and relax.

We close the practice with the spacious rest of yoga nidra, a deeply restful, guided meditation that invites the body to soften and the mind to settle. This practice gently carries you into a liminal space between waking and sleep, where true healing and nervous system repair can occur.

Earth class is a pause in your week.

A chance to root down and soften often.

A chance to turn inward, to listen to the quiet whispers of the body, and come home to yourself.
