We have been providing home care for over 30 years, enabling thousands of people to stay at home in familiar, relaxed surroundings. Our skilled Home Care in Epsom team offer a range of different care options that can be adapted to suit your needs. Ranging from elderly care, dementia care and support for younger people, we can support you several times a week with visiting care or on a long term ba

sis with live in care. We also offer short term respite care if you need extra help while your regular carer takes a break. Care starts from 30 minutes per week and is designed to fit around your routines and requirements. Our service covers personal care, moving and handling, housekeeping and companionship, and is fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Emma recently joined Helping Hands in April as part of our Live-in Care team. We spoke with her to learn about her journey into care and what a typical day looks like:​

“I was inspired to become a Carer after watching my mum care for the elderly when I was growing up and helping take care of my late nanna.

My typical day starts around 7am, preparing breakfast and medication, tidying the house, doing laundry, and supporting my customer with washing and dressing. If she had any appointments, I would drive her or if she wanted to go into town I'd accompany her. I would prepare her evening meal and assist when she is ready to go to bed.

My biggest pleasure is to see my customers happy and being able to live a fulfilled happy life in their own home, no matter their age or disability. This job is a rewarding role and knowing you make someone happy is the best feeling in the world.”

Meet Paul our Care Training Practitioner at the Epsom Branch 💜

Paul joined the Helping Hands Epsom team 💜after supporting a family member, he then decided he wanted a career which is rewarding while supporting people within their own homes. Paul joined as a carer, and this is where he found a passion for care and wanted to progress.

Paul has gained vast knowledge and experience out in the community with our clients and then progressed to become a Care Training Practitioner at the Epsom Branch. He loves seeing the clients and carers every day.
