Due to a nationwide technical problem, we are needing to take urgent queries only at this time and having to close our Banwell (and locking site)
We have very limited current access at Winscombe and can take some urgent queries here. Phone lines are working please only phone if your query cannot wait until later this afternoon.

EDIT - This now appears to be resolved and have resumed normal service.

Our new appointment system goes live.

Here’s what’s changing:
✓ Anima replaces AskMyGP — no login needed, just visit our website
✓ NHS App integration — see your appointment times and use self-check-in
✓ 2-hour telephone windows — with reminders so you know when to expect our call
✓ Clinician-led decisions — we’ll match you to the right appointment type
✓ Continuity of care — we’ll prioritise booking you with your usual clinician
✓ Proactive reviews — more time for medication checks and planned care

In our new appointment system - A clinician will review your request and decide the best way to help you.
Where a telephone call won’t be sufficient, you’ll be booked directly for a face-to-face appointment. No need for a phone call first.
Telephone appointments are still available where this is the most helpful and efficient way to address your concern.
To help our clinicians manage their workload effectively, certain appointment types are available at specific times of day. This structure means we can plan better and give you more focused care.
Be clear about your preference when submitting your request — it helps us understand what matters to you.

We’ve heard your feedback: waiting all day for a phone call isn’t ideal.

From late April, when you have a telephone appointment, we’ll give you a 2-hour window.

You’ll receive a reminder ahead of time with your call window — for example: “Your call window is 9:00am - 11:00am”

We’ll try to reach you twice within this window and leave a message each time, so please keep your phone nearby and answer unknown numbers during this time.

From the 28th April - Your appointments will now appear correctly in the NHS App.

This means you'll be able to see your appointment time clearly — and when you arrive, you can use our self-check-in screens for all professionals

This helps us run more smoothly and means less time waiting at reception.

Consistent appointment times help us plan our day better, which means better care for everyone.
