Hello!

Are your workouts balanced? Are you focusing on post exercise recovery and warm downs? Stretching alone is not enough.

If you would like to book on this Saturdays exercise recovery and foam rolling session here is the link for you now to book.

The idea behind this class is that you are learning to release & relax your muscles and improve the tensegrity and mobility of your soft tissues, fascia and muscles. By doing this we are looking at improving your joint movement and the tension and tightness within certain muscle groups that can be affecting that joint movement and how that then warms up and softens muscles to improve the exercises that you’re doing.

It’s also to keep continuously bringing you awareness in to your muscles and joints and how you are really feeling and if you are addressing any issues tightness and niggles within your soft tissue rather than hoping it will go away.

This is a guided self workout to help you find the tools to add in to your routines.

It’s good to workout but the recovery is just as important.

Big thanks goes out to Alex for covering my classes yesterday at Aquamanda Spa while i was at AP (Adam Peaty) Race clinics in Wi******er with my 12yr old son.

An enjoyable day, listening to and watching the team deliver, fitness, psychology and support stations for the swimmers and parents, it was an insightful day. With so many experienced professionals behind the scene i wanted to delve into more but it was just one day and so many swimmers.

It was good to see some traditional pilates exercises added into the fitness session, rolling like a ball, jacknife and breastroke prep. I do feel classical pilates has a lot to offer swimmers and wonder how many utilise the full system of exercises.

See you on the mat next week
