We are incredibly proud that our Biltong and Jerky will help fuel Miriam Payne and Jess Rowe on their extraordinary journey to become THE FIRST TEAM TO ROW THE PACIFIC OCEAN non-stop and unsupported.🚣‍♂️

They have just departed Peru and will take up to 6 months, rowing 15 hours a day, to cross the 8000 miles to Australia. 🇳🇿

“The level of chilli is well placed and never becomes too much. It works well with the characteristic coriander and spices of biltong but remains the most pronounced taste. The spices and crushed chilli flavour develops into a peppery heat which warms the mouth nicely. The level of spicing has clearly been thought about. Good work!”

An object lesson in less is more. Dark luscious looking pieces of biltong with good beefy aroma. Its soft chewy texture melts in the mouth to release savoury umami flavour, with the seasoning working in harmony to enhance the wonderful beefy notes. Very enjoyable, simple but produced with great finesse, so moreish the more you eat the more you want”.

Our Teriyaki Biltong has won a highly prestigious Great Taste Award from The Guild of Fine Food in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023. Bring on 2024!

This is what the judges had to say about it;

“The biltong releases lovely juices and sweet smoky flavours with a gentle hint of teriyaki. Well-balanced throughout. This has good beefy aromas on the nose and there is some moisture left in the strips as you chew. The promised smoky flavours are there and there is a good sweet/savoury balance. These are very neatly prepped pieces of healthy looking biltong. They are tender, chewy and juicy in the mouth and have a good level of salt which is just enough to make them moreish. There is lots of sweetness from the meat and seasoning and a gentle smoke to add another layer of interest.”
