Loughton Athletic Club is a friendly welcoming running and athletic club for all ages and types of athletes.
They are proud to cater for beginners, those running for general fitness, and those competing at a good standard.

Some of their members simply want to run to keep fit by training as part of a group. The club actively encourages this type of participation.

Many members participate in Parkrun, especially at Roding Valley. They also offer competition opportunities within the club, in local leagues and at county, regional and national championships.

Above all, they run for fun!

About last night…a pleasure and a privilege once again to provide the medical cover for our 6th for UNICEF. Most importantly another incredible amount raised. Thanks as always to the unbelievable team behind the scenes in production, logistics and the kitmen. A great group of people who can’t do enough to help us.

We are beginning the search for a new physio to work with us in the clinic here in Hainault (East London/ Essex border) .

We are looking for an experienced chartered physiotherapist with a special interest in MSK. The clinic is busy and has support from a great reception team and a spacious 1000 sq ft rehab gym.

Hours would be flexible between approx 0.7FT - full time and would need to cover two evenings within the hours and alternate Saturday mornings.

CPD financial support is available

Been a great three months looking after this ex-colleague and current player following his right hamstring repair under Fares Haddad in London.

Brilliant input on the field/conditioning side from and the whole three month rehab process has gone very well. Long hours in the gym and he is now back in training in Turkey and hopefully contributing to the remainder of their season.

Thanks to for the trust and communication. Good luck Chambo!

Colin had a good week in Tenerife last week as part of the medical support team for a winter training camp with the para teams.

Players from the Men’s Partially Sighted Futsal team along with players from the CP teams , men and women’s deaf teams and the women’s blind team were all worked hard on a five day camp.

Great bunch of people , really good atmosphere and a very good backroom staff. Inspiring week.

4 years !! Where has the time gone ?

Thanks to all the staff we have had in that time as without the reception team the place would be bedlam.
Over the years we have had Clare since the start ( somehow still happy to work with us ) , long stints from Nicola , Laura and Merissa plus Janine and Leza in the early days.

Physios Laura and Mani working alongside both myself and Gary have been brilliant - very difficult to find good staff who also happen to be good people !!

Massage therapists Emma Emma , Ellese, Caitlin and most recently Megan have all been good additions.

Huge thanks to all of the doctors , sports med consultants , surgeons and radiologists who trust us to look after their patients each week.

Big thanks to all of our affiliations from the world of grass roots sport /schools.

Finally, thanks to all of the patients who come through the doors. Our 5* ratings on trustpilot and Google makes us think we are doing something right.

Here’s to the next four years and many more.

It was always our aim to work with the proactive forward-thinking schools and grass roots sport in the area alongside the elite level athletes that come here.
