Has the festive anxiety started to creep in yet?

When everything feels a bit too much, gratitude can quietly bring you back to yourself.

You don’t need a journal or a list — just a moment.
Pause, take a breath, and notice one thing you appreciate right now. It could be the warmth of your hands, a cosy jumper, the calm of a quiet room, or even the fresh air outside.

Today felt like a good day to pause and sit with a little gratitude.

I’ve been reflecting on the women I work with, and I’m genuinely grateful for the connections that grow through this work. Every conversation, every moment of insight, every shift in how someone sees themselves — it all reminds me why I chose this path.

I’m grateful for the women who show up even when life feels heavy or complicated, and allow themselves to explore what’s really going on beneath the surface. There’s something incredibly powerful about watching someone realise they don’t have to carry everything alone, and that change is possible in ways they hadn’t imagined.

I’m grateful for the trust that’s built, for the honesty that unfolds in a safe setting, and for those gentle turning points where a woman recognises her own strength again. These transformations are personal, grounded, and deeply meaningful.

Doing this work reminds me every day that growth happens in small, steady moments and that those moments matter. They build confidence, ease, clarity, and a stronger connection to who you are becoming.

The Battery That’s Running on 5%

You know that feeling when your phone dips to 5% and you suddenly become hyper-aware of every single thing it’s doing? You do things to help such as lower the brightness, you close all the apps and you stop scrolling. In essence, you ration it just enough to get you through until you can actually plug in.

I see so many women in midlife living that way internally.

On the outside, everything still looks fine. You’re delivering, showing up, leading, supporting, managing the constant flow of demands both at work and at home. However, on the inside its very different. You’re negotiating with yourself every hour of the day, trying to make your energy last just long enough to get through your calendar, the evening routine and the responsibilities you never switch off from.

It’s that quiet internal depletion that no one else sees. This is not burnout just yet, but a slow leak you can’t seem to stop.

You’ve been functioning at full capacity for far too long, without ever getting the deep reset that your mind and body have been quietly asking for.

When women come to me at this stage, they often tell me they’re tired of feeling tired, tired of thinking so hard about everything, tired of holding it all together while trying to remember who they used to be before the exhaustion crept in.

What we do together isn’t about pushing through or adding more coping strategies. It’s about resetting the internal patterns that have been draining your energy without you realising — the overthinking, the emotional bracing, the constant scanning for what might go wrong, the weight of being the one everyone relies on.

Laughter Yoga – Coming Soon

I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am to bring Laughter Yoga into Serene Mind Solutions. If you’ve never experienced it before, imagine a space where you don’t have to think, analyse or “work on yourself”… you simply get to let go, move your body, breathe deeply and laugh in a way you probably haven’t in years.

Most of us can barely remember the last time we had a real, proper belly laugh — the kind that lifts your mood, shakes the stress loose and leaves you feeling brighter for the rest of the day.

What I love most is how it resets your whole system without needing to talk through anything.
You don’t need yoga experience, you don’t need to get poses right, and you definitely don’t need to arrive feeling cheerful. You just turn up exactly as you are. The combination of movement, breathwork and intentional laughter works its magic all on its own — and before you know it, you feel lighter, more connected, and genuinely uplifted.

As we move into the final days of November, I’ve opened a few last-minute 1:1 therapy slots — perfect if you’re feeling that mix of overwhelm, tiredness and ‘I can’t carry this into December’.

This time of year brings so much pressure… the mental load, the emotional juggling, the expectations, the invisible to-do list. And if you’re a midlife woman carrying years of responsibility on top of that, your mind and body feel it even more.

Does that Sunday feeling start creeping in long before Monday even arrives?

The quiet shift in energy, the little knot in your stomach, the way your thoughts start fast-forwarding through next week’s to-do list.

If you’ve woken up today feeling “off” — not exactly stressed, but not exactly calm either — your nervous system might be signalling that it needs a moment.

Sundays often shine a light on everything you’ve been powering through all week.

When the pace slows, the tension you didn’t have time to feel suddenly makes itself known.
That fuzzy-headed feeling…
The slight knot in your stomach…
The sense that you should be relaxing but can’t quite drop into it…

This isn’t you being difficult — it’s your nervous system asking for a reset.

Here’s a gentle grounding technique you can try today:
Step outside for a moment, even if it’s just your garden, doorstep or an open window.
Feel the air on your face.
Notice three things you can see, two things you can hear, and one thing you can physically touch.

This helps bring your body out of “thinking mode” and back into the present moment, but if you find your mind pinging back to old worries or your body still holding onto tension… that’s where deeper work helps.

In my sessions, we reset those underlying emotional patterns — the things that fuel the Sunday unease — using NLP, IEMT and other rapid-change techniques. It helps your system settle in a way that lasts, not just for a few minutes.
