You don’t have to fall apart to deserve support.

You can be the one who holds it all together — the organiser, the listener, the dependable one — and still feel quietly exhausted inside. You can have a good life on paper and still wonder why you feel flat, anxious, or disconnected.

Support isn’t just for the moments you break down.

It’s for the moments you realise you don’t quite feel like you anymore.

When you’re doing “fine”… but fine isn’t enough.
You deserve care before crisis, and clarity before overwhelm.

That’s exactly what my 1:1 sessions are for — helping women in midlife recalibrate before it all becomes too much.

Whether it’s through NLP, IEMT, or other powerful techniques, we’ll work together to release what’s weighing you down and help you reconnect with who you really are — underneath all the noise.

✨ You don’t need to wait for a breaking point. You just need to be ready for change.

💚 Book your session online or at the Serenity Studio in Barnard Castle — and take that first step back to you.

Right here with you,
Wendy

How do I facilitate change?

I often get asked, what do I do in alternative therapy sessions. The answer really depends on what the requirements of the needs of the client, as every session is tailored to the individual.

I have created a ‘toolkit’ of modalities (or techniques if you prefer), that I can access to support clients during each session. One of my go-to techniques is IEMT – Integral Eye Movement Therapy.

Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT) is a cutting-edge therapeutic approach rooted in neurology, psychology, and cognitive science principles. IEMT provides an innovative framework for addressing various emotional and behavioural challenges by focusing on the intricate interplay between eye movements and memory recall.

IEMT offers a structured method for exploring how memories and emotions are encoded in the mind. This therapy uses precise eye movement patterns to recalibrate maladaptive responses, allowing individuals to process distressing memories, alleviate negative emotions, and develop healthier mental frameworks.

Clients often describe feeling lighter after just one session—like something has finally shifted.

You might notice you:
– Respond differently to things that used to feel overwhelming
– Feel more balanced and emotionally grounded
– Step into a version of yourself that feels aligned, capable, and calm

This is a powerful transformational technique that can impact even after one session. I am certified as an advanced practitioner of IEMT, and a member of The Association for IEMT Practitioners.

If you’re ready to feel less triggered, more grounded, and more like yourself again... this might be the approach you’ve been looking for.

Mid-winter can feel quietly heavy.

How are you getting on this mid-winter? Not the polite answer — the real one.

This season asks us to slow down, reflect, and restore, but life doesn’t always give us that space.
If you’re feeling flat, anxious, overwhelmed, or just not quite yourself, support is available — and it doesn’t have to be complicated.

When you’re ready, support can make this feel easier. You’re welcome to reach out or book a session when you’re ready.

Right here with you,
Wendy

Strong women are often the last to ask for help.

It's not because they don’t need it, but because they’re used to being the one others lean on.

They’re the capable one. The reliable one. The one who keeps going even when it feels heavy underneath.

Strength doesn’t mean carrying everything alone, and coping isn’t the same as feeling okay.

You don’t have to wait until you’re exhausted or at breaking point to ask for support.

You’re allowed to choose ease sooner.

If something in you is nudging for change, that’s worth listening to. You can book a session when you’re ready — no pressure, just support.

Right here with you,
Wendy

I’ve spent some time updating my website — a little refresh to reflect where the work is now and how I support people. Have a look around and let me know your thoughts.

If you want to hear from me without relying on social media posts popping up at the right moment, my newsletter is the best place. It’s where I share thoughts from my work, support, and updates you might otherwise miss. The link is now available on the homepage of my refreshed website.

It’s a good way to stay connected in a more reliable way.

Wendy 💚

“I’ll just live with it” isn’t always the answer.

This client had been living with hip pain for years after slipping on ice. Not constant pain, but just enough to be aware of it when walking, exercising, or getting on with her day.

So, she adapted. Like so many of us do. She worked around it, told herself it was manageable, and carried on. Until she decided she didn’t want to anymore.

She’s now no longer held back by that pain, and not just physically. It had been affecting her mood too, more than she realised at the time.

What she said afterwards really stayed with me…
“Just go with the process and have trust in it and yourself.”

You don’t have to push through forever and you don’t have to wait until things are unbearable to try something different.

If this feels familiar, and you’re quietly thinking maybe it’s time, message me.

Right here with you,
Wendy

Future-you is watching.

Your future self still thinks, still cares, still feels deeply…she just doesn’t let anxiety take the steering wheel anymore.

She responds instead of spirals.
She trusts herself again.
She feels lighter for it.

If anxiety has been quietly running things, support can help shift that.

Let’s change how anxiety shows up for you. Book a session and see what shifts.

Mid-Winter Check-In

Mid-winter asks you to slow down… but the world asks you to keep going.

Nature is still in hibernation. This season is traditionally about reflection, conserving energy, and gentle planning rather than constant action.
And yet emails still land, work carries on, and life doesn’t pause.

If you’re feeling more tired, less motivated, or like you’re running on low reserves, that’s not a personal failing — it’s your body responding to the season while living in a world that expects momentum.

You don’t need to stop everything, but you can soften how you move through this time.

This is where the work I do can help. I use effective, alternative therapy approaches such as IEMT, NLP, Metaphors of Movement and EFT to help reduce anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and that constant sense of pressure. The focus is on helping your body and mind settle, so you’re not carrying everything quite so tightly.

Alongside this, Reiki offers an energy-based way to deeply relax and support regulation when rest feels hard to access.

Mid-winter isn’t about pushing through until spring. It’s about supporting yourself so you don’t feel depleted before you get there.

If this resonates and you’d like support through this season, I’m here.

Right here with you,
Wendy

Reiki at the Serenity Studio

Reiki offers deep relaxation without conversation, analysis, or pressure. You simply arrive, settle in, and allow your nervous system to soften.

Each session includes 45 minutes of Reiki plus a consultation, giving your body the time and space it needs to fully switch off. There’s no expectation to share anything — many people find the quiet is exactly what they’ve been missing.

Clients often leave feeling calmer, lighter, more grounded, and deeply relaxed. It’s especially supportive if your mind is busy, your body feels tense, or rest feels hard to access.

These sessions have been life changing.

‘I have literally changed my mindset. I am no longer letting my anxieties control me. I feel like a fire has been lit inside, and I’m equipped to tackle any feelings that try to control me.’

And a month later, she told me:

‘I still feel amazing. I’m using the techniques when needed — especially the tapping. This has changed my life. I can literally feel the shift in myself and the confidence that has grown within me.’

It’s not about becoming a different person. It’s about long-term change, freedom, and confidence that lasts.

You don’t need to be at breaking point to seek support. If you’re ready for support that actually lasts, the Serene Mind Reset is here for you. Three focused 1:1 sessions designed to help you shift your mindset and create lasting change.

The Serene Mind Reset. Three sessions. One powerful shift.

Sometimes you don’t need months of work. You need space, the right support, and a way to shift what’s been keeping you stuck.

The Serene Mind Reset is a short, focused series of three personalised sessions, each lasting up to 90 minutes. Sessions can be spaced weekly, fortnightly, or monthly — whatever feels right for you and your life.

This isn’t traditional talking therapy. I work using effective, alternative approaches such as IEMT, NLP, Metaphors of Movement, OldPain2Go and EFT, supporting both your mind and body to release patterns that no longer serve you, without endlessly revisiting the past.

Women often choose this reset because anxiety or emotional overwhelm has become familiar, work feels heavier than it should, or they’re tired of coping and ready for something to change.

Three sessions, taken at your pace, can be enough to create a real shift — emotionally, mentally, and physically.

If you’re ready for things to feel different, the Serene Mind Reset is a powerful place to begin. Use the link in the comments to book.

About Me | A 2026 Re-Introduction

If you’re new here — or you’ve been quietly following for a while — hello, I’m Wendy.

I support women, particularly in midlife, who look “fine” on the outside but feel overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or just not quite themselves anymore. The kind of women who are coping… but know something needs to change.

The work I offer is effective and alternative, and it doesn’t rely on traditional talking therapy. I use a blend of approaches including IEMT, NLP, Metaphors of Movement, OldPain2Go, and EFT.

These techniques work with both the mind and the body, helping you feel calmer, clearer, and lighter — often sooner than you expect.

Alongside this, I also offer wellbeing support through group Laughter Yoga and one to one Reiki, for those who want to reconnect with calm, energy, and lightness in a more embodied way.

Many of the women I work with come to me because anxiety has crept into their days, work feels heavier than it used to, or they’re tired of feeling on edge and carrying everything alone.

I work in person from my Serenity Studio in Barnard Castle, or online via Zoom, offering a safe, supportive environment where you don’t have to explain yourself or hold it all together.

If you’re here because something in you is ready for things to feel different, you’re in the right place.

Message me to find out how I can support you.

Right here with you,
Wendy
