Sunny's into your own frames.
We have a £20 fitting charge to do this.
99% of the time it can be done.
All glazing done at your own risk.

The Blue tint, initially light, around 75%LTF, upgraded to a 35% LTF, darker.

The Brown lenses glazed into the Miu Miu frame, (Supra) Part Metal, Part Cord.
Polarised Brown Freeform Varifocals with the Anti Reflective Coating.

With the Transition lenses, you can opt for various colours, few which are xtra active, (works behind the windscreen) available in Grey, Brown or Green.

Few times a year we do have customers asking "What is the MAR coating, What does it do".

Here is a little brief explanation.😎

MAR coating stands for Multiple Anti-Reflective coating. It's an advanced type of anti-reflective coating applied to lenses to minimize reflections and improve clarity.

MAR coatings are designed to reduce unwanted reflections from the lens surfaces, allowing more light to pass through and creating a clearer, sharper view.
Benefits:
Improved Clarity: By minimizing glare, MAR coatings enhance vision clarity, especially in low-light conditions or when using a computer.

Durability: MAR coatings often include protective layers that offer resistance to scratches, smudges, dirt, and water, extending the lifespan of lenses.

The Sun has been out over the last few weeks 😎, Weve been busy with Full Frames & Rimless glasses to make into sunglasses with prescription lenses.
Whether it be Varifocals, or Single vision.
Standard tint or Graduated.
MAR coated or plain jane just with a tint. 😎

Hope you all are enjoying sunshine 🌞

Another pair of Sunglasses bought in to us to see whether we could glaze it with Prescription lenses or not?

Frame was a nice Green Mulberry.

The workshop team had a good look over on the frame, heated it the best they could in order to pop the lenses out!!!

Original lenses were Glass, totally flat, no curve.
See pic1.

We took the job on!! 😎

Prescription lenses fitted, specially worked flat lenses followed by a G15 Tint.
Grey Green similar to the famous Rayban colour.

Glazed with the bevel put back in order for the lenses to sit how the original glass lenses sat.

Another job done well.

Can you see the kink in the frame? 🤦🏻‍♂️
This was caused by lenses being glazed to big and frame over heated, then sprung in causing frame to bend and kink.

Customer had bought the frame in and explained what had happened from going to a previous Optician.

She wanted to know whether;

A - Can the frame be straightened out?
B - Can the frame be glazed with new lenses?

Our team in the Lab managed to sort the frame, get it back in shape followed by glazing Essilor Polaroid Varifocals into them. 🤓

A job finished successfully. 😎

We've been mad busy this week, Sunglass orders galore...
We've just finished these 3 jobs for a customer. 😍
They had bought in there own funky frames in to which they had a pair of Green, Brown & Grey Transitions glazed.

Our lab has had a few in today.

We can cut them to any shape design 99% of the time.

2 out of the 3 have gone for there own original shape and design, where one has stuck to the original shape.

Having a Silhoutte frame gives you the option to reglaze them 99% of the time (depending on condition) and also benefits from changing shape/design of lens. 😎
