Appeal for Help. My wife has been waiting for 19 months for a hip replacement and can now barely walk. The problem is that she needs a medical facility with an Intensive Care Facility (ICU) because of a heart condition. The NHS has not reopened the ICU at Barnet hospital and so she is stuck between a rock and a hard place with a deteriorating condition. Private care is not an option as such facilities do not have an ICU unit, Cost is not a problem. Clearly Simon Parkes' medbeds cannot arrive quickly enough!
